We never had the Jetsons on TV, so I know of it mainly through an Annual I used to have. Was it as good as The Flintstones? I suspect it persists in cultural memory now largely via Futurama.
This one, I’m pretty certain. From 1964! The satire of mid-60s US normie work culture was largely lost on me in 1982… 
Increasingly, I think the true problem of AGI is not really artificial intelligence, but artificial wisdom, insofar as artificial stupidity is the opposite of the latter, rather than the former. Yet 'wisdom' should not connote 'folksy', but something quite mathematically precise.
I think this is really what's going on in @NegarestaniReza's identification of the programme of AGI with philosophy as such in Intelligence & Spirit, beyond my own more modest claim that AGI is transcendental psychology. If you love wisdom, you should build it.
It's also the real content of the distinction between sentience and sapience that we both take from Sellars and Brandom, but which has deeper roots in the tradition of German Idealism. The defining characteristic of Homo sapiens is not brute intelligence, but strategic wisdom.
@paulkreinerhere @schulzb589 I accept that I haven't given a proof of this impossibility, but I believe the concerns I've laid out could probably be formalised in a way that would lead to one, though it'd involve something like a combinatoric diagonalisation similar to Russell's paradox.
@paulkreinerhere @schulzb589 To state my issue in a more philosophical way, I think the desire to combinatorially totalise mathematical syntax is an effect of something like a transcendental illusion, what I sometimes call the Mythos of Logos.
@paulkreinerhere @schulzb589 It's the Leibnizian desire to obviate creative dialogical interaction (dialectical reason) by providing a deductive system (monological reason) that would allow us to simply 'shut up and calculate'; the desire to obviate the pragmatic autonomy of discovery by automating it.
Software architecture is in crisis, and the way to fix it is a hefty dose of anarchy.
Some lay the blame for this on @boicy with the whole microservices thing.
(Admittedly, @nicolefv, @jezhumble and @realgenekim didn’t help when they statistically proved that he might have been onto something with all that de-coupling and team-alignment…)
