Recently, certain employees were taking excessive numbers of days off for their #religious #holidays.

The employees who came to work as usual had to work three times as hard to make up for all the absences. We are a welcoming company that supports the religious observance of all of our employees, including those who belong to #minority #religions.

However, if you need to take off a day for a religious holiday, you must bring in a letter from your religion’s rabbi to confirm that this is an authentic holiday.

In addition, so-called “travel days” before and after holidays may not be accommodated.

Awesome October 2021: A month of 31 half #marathons on 31 consecutive days- sharing my experience
1.Starting from 30th September, and ending on 31st October 2021, I completed 32 runs of 21.1 km or longer, with a total mileage of 817 km in 32 days (average of 25.5 km/day).
This included one Full marathon (42.2 km) on 30th October.
2.The purpose was to test my #endurance, and to see the #physical & #mental effects of long distance #running on 32 consecutive days. I present my observations here.
3. How difficult was it? In reality, it was not difficult. Once you get up and start the run, it is easy to complete. The most important is- you need 2.5 to 3.5 hours time to compete the distance. I could manage that in the mornings between 5 and 8:30 AM.

2. Add “interested in #blockchain #crypto #web3 etc. to your LinkedIn profile
3. Start creating content in whatever form suits you. Create a public #proofofwork of your involvement in the space
4. Start using Web3 apps!

#2 While you believe #crypto & #Web3 is only for YouTube influencers or #blockchain developers, there are recruiters out there who can't find candidates for #HR, #Marketing, #BizDev, #CustomerSupport and other non-techy roles. Indicate your interest before you have the knowledge!

Preparing for the @BirkbeckBEI @bbk_orgpsych Alec Rodger Memorial Lecture gave me the chance to reflect on 25 years of discussing evidence-based practice in #HR, #Management and #work #psychology.

Here's 18 things I think I got wrong in trying to promote the idea.
1. Focusing way too much on ‘the science’ (systematic reviews, pushing research) – important but it’s just one source of evidence and awareness doesn’t seem to change behaviour
2. Not acknowledging that universities and academics are, in general, part of the problem of low adoption not part of the solution
