Despite being banned from the city center, we will be back on Monday with a teach-in from 2-4 on the South End of the King George V bridge. We will talk to the public in a puplic space about the hidden truths of the crisis we are in and what each of us can do to confront it.

I loved being in the hiring process for our scientist position!, but I was concerned at the number of poorly written CVs and resumes that were sent through to us. So I thought I'd share a few quick pointers for I would consider a good application: 1/n #scientist #phdchat
1. The job title was "Scientist PCR" therefore I shouldn't need to search the document for the word PCR. Even if the candidate doesn't have tons of exp, it still helps to list exactly what you did. eg. what PCR extraction kit, DNA or RNA? sample types, qPCR, qRT-PCR, etc 2/n
1. continued. What platforms? Biorad, Thermofisher? experience with automated systems or manual extraction? experience with PCR optimisation? troubleshooting? contamination control? interpretation of PCR results? 3/n

The feeling of being held up is apparently present in many, they feel attacked. It is quite paradoxical: Although in surveys almost 90 percent say that belonging to #Germany is the knowledge of the history of National Socialism. Nevertheless, especially the #youth find today:

2/ We used tetrodes to record from CA1 hippocampus and dorsolateral lateral septum, an area innervated by all CA regions of the hippocampus and many regions involved in "motivational" behavior
3/ Some cells in the LS were linearly modulated by the animal's running speed (could be positively or negatively modulated!) and/or by the animal's acceleration (also could be positively or negatively modulated!)
