2. CDC makes a big deal of pre-test probability (that patient has #lymeDisease) suggesting their #lyme test would show many false positives if everyone was tested 4 Lyme. So that probability deemed likely after CDC’s told docs for 40 YEARS not to test unless in NE or have rash?
3. Minute 2:30- #CDC said they saw #lymeDisease cases (determined from insurance claims) were from the states they expect them to be. He thinks everyone is stupid. Duh, for 40 YEARS they’ve told #doctors not to test if patient isn’t in one of those states! bit.ly/3ihM6eU

Ombudsman is a Swedish word that means advocate, says Castro. There are about 300k people in CA, she notes, who go into some 12k long term care facilities in the state.

Indiana #coronavirus hospitalizations are up slightly from yesterday, while patients in intensive care are up sharply. 756 patients are hospitalized, 12 more than yesterday; 284 are in ICU, 57 more than yesterday and the most in six days.
ISDH has also posted its weekly update of #coronavirus numbers in #longterm care. There were 205 new cases in LTC in the last week, and 58 more deaths, with nine facilities reporting their first deaths. The 1,140 deaths in LTC represent 45% of the total IN death toll.
