this is my first generative art release on @fx_hash_ , combining my collection from "The Windless Summit and The Distant Sea"
1)在上一篇貼文裡，我介紹了 #tezos 以及 #genart 的獨特性，而在這一篇貼文中，則是要有系統的教會大家，如何欣賞生成式藝術。時間回到1896年，當觀眾首次看到盧米埃爾兄弟的『火車進站』電影時，他們嚇得驚慌失措而逃離，而這正呈現新媒體的特質，人們必須習慣新的敘事方法後，才能開始理解其內涵。
2)生成式藝術在區塊鏈的推波助瀾下，跟過往的（2021年前）的型態很不同。早些年前，生成藝術因其可複製性，我們在創作時較重視表演性， audio/visual 的形式，是市場主流；嚴格的控制frameRate、與其他媒材的協調性（聲音、光線），然而當區塊鏈讓生成藝術固定型態後，一切的發展又都不同了。
3)現今的生成藝術追求的是：
a.演算法美學(perlin noise、cellular、fractal..
b.自訂系統的個人宇宙
c.迷因文化擴張（pepe、pixel art、ape..
d.當代繪畫性的延伸

If one day both #tezos and #eth cryptocurrencies suffer a flash crash and their values return to zero, would NFTs still have value on these chains?
My guess is: 1. Trading on the market will come to a complete halt in the short term and many NFTs will truly die.
2.However, as the market panic subsides (which may take some time), NFTs on the chain will survive in some other form, possibly through other means of changing the way transactions are made, or by re-establishing the value of the chain.
Asterium is going live in ~24h, so I wanted to share some thoughts on the project while we wait :)

But never as in depth and complete as asterium. The idea was intially to make it grow forever, getting thinner and thinner as time went on.

One of the biggest issues with AI generated images relies on the artists’ workflow and the controls they can have over their creation. Every new prompt usually creates a unique piece of art, thus making it hard to tweak the result.

But now with this new update by Midjourney, we can finally regain some level of control in the process.
I can’t wait to see what people create with it. On my side, it’s a blessing as I work on my collections and try to maintain consistency across my different pieces.

Started with a landscape in #midjourney. Used a depth map in @sidefx #houdini to create a scene mesh. Imported to #UnrealEngine5 @UnrealEngine to add grass and animate. Added music. Breakdown thread 1/8 #aiartprocess #MachineLearning #deeplearning #aiartcommunity #genart #aiia
I could have created a similar scene in just Unreal Engine and Quixel but I wanted to see what I could do with this landscape image I generated in #midjouney 2/8 #aiartprocess
I'm also trying to do more collaborations with other AI Artists so I used this as an excuse to research depth maps further and see how I could push them. I generated this LeRes depth map using "Boosting Monocular Depth Estimation to High Resolution" on Github. 3/8 #aiartprocess

- modifier shape (point? circle? square?), weight...
- modifiers specific to a color ?
- how distance reduces the effect of the rule (r^2 like g?)

As many of these individuals and organizations can confirm, the initial idea of raising capital for AB was totally off the table. I mean, this was my hobby, my baby, and my dream and it was generating income! Raising funds for Art Blocks didn't make sense to me at first. 👇
