2 years ago today I took a vaccine that I was led to believe would stop me catching covid, protect me from dying from covid as an asthmatic and someone with congenital heart disease, protect the little people I looked after in my classroom, stop me killing my nan. IT WAS BULLSHIT 
I’m now riddled with illness, daily symptoms that forced me to leave my full time job, I can’t eat the things I want to eat, I can’t drink the things I want to drink. I can’t walk around without my heart being in pain.
I grieve my old life every single day, I will never ever forgive myself or more importantly @AstraZeneca for what they did to my working, healthy body. I will never trust these companies again.

Many folks who know me know that these past two years have been really difficult with attacks on me, my family, and our public education system. Many of the San Francisco initiatives I and my colleague @lopez4schools stood for are currently being dismantled or reversed.
A collective of community organizations who are “committed to change & liberation” got together last night to host “Save our Schools: Activating Parents in an Age of CRT-Backlash” w/ keynotes from Kimberle Crenshaw & Ibram X Kendi to champion teaching CRT, CSE & SEL in schools.🧵
They sure went from “We’re not teaching CRT in schools! That’s a legal theory!” to “We’re not teaching ENOUGH CRT in schools” real fast. They’re just mad they got caught which activated parents like me & others to push back & expose how they’re sneaking it into education. 🧵

A THREAD: Here in the US, the federal government has unleashed its full might to attempt to ban intersectionality and teaching about the legacy and contemporary effects of racism and sexism #TruthBeTold
However, last week we were uplifted by the news of a landmark decision from the South African Constitutional Court which used intersectionality to affirm the rights of domestic workers and all marginalized and subordinated women.
Maria Mahlangu was a Black woman who worked as a domestic worker in the household of a white family for over 22 years.
