Kargil wouldn't have happened if @IAF_MCC had LGBs and Swift Retort wouldn't have happened if the IAF had AMRAAM equivalents and SDRs. You may (facetiously?) disagree, but deterrent value of good weapon systems is above debate.

The Sukhoi S-70 #Okhotnik UCAV model at #MAKS2019 with stealthy exhaust and the recent announcement by Russian MoD that Okhotniks would be deployed in the East & West of the country by 2024 are significant pointers to Russian thinking on the future of air combat
Giving optionally manned stealth fighters a pass, Russia appears to be embracing unmanned stealth (#Okhotnik) for striking targets in heavily contested airspace & the combination of stealth & EW (#Su57) for defending homeland airspace.
The tight integration of the two platforms under the flying wingman concept makes their combination deadly. Penetrating Raptors would need to pause after first spotting #Su57, to ensure their own presence hasn't been picked by #Okhotniks & relayed to the Su-57s!
The fore sensor suite on the Su-57 comprising elements of N036 AESA radar and 101KS Atoll Electro-Optical (EO) system which is designed not just for situational awareness but also for air/ground target engagements and automatic landing.

The aircraft was unveiled on the ground at the start of the #MAKS19 show today and took to the skies around 2:30 PM flying in a formation of four.
The most impressive maneuver that the aircraft performed today was a sustained hover with zero vertical and horizontal speeds. Followed by a very controlled and lazy tail slide during which I wondered if the pilot would power up and reverse the tail slide! He didn't.
