This family simply cannot afford a new iPad and every since the stay at home was asked of us and no school anymore the iPad they did have was a lifesaver however it was a first gen and it was not updating anymore and was on its last legs. It finally conked out.
If anyone has one they could donate or for a reasonable price, please DM for more info. We are looking for a newish iPad thats a newer version so it would be compatible to all the necessary apps this young man would need for his special needs. We are looking for a 64G or higher.

2/ Before we had any confirmed cases of #COVID19 in #MA02, I organized an emergency conference call with health care providers to discuss whether or not they had the information, tools, and resources needed to keep our community safe.
3/ Massachusetts needs a robust, coordinated federal response to this crisis. So the day after my conference call, our Congressional Delegation asked the @WhiteHouse Coronavirus Task Force to take urgent & specific steps to help our state respond. ⤵️

States received a significant temporary increase in federal #Medicaid funding in the bipartisan #FamiliesFirst #Coronavirus Response Act.
In exchange for this increase in federal funding, states can’t take away people’s coverage or impose new restrictions.

51 Republican senators just voted against an amendment to the #FamiliesFirst #Coronavirus Response Act that would have expanded paid leave to millions of Americans left out of the package. Let that sink in.
The amendment, from @PattyMurray and @SenGillibrand, would've closed a critical gap in the package and meant real support for people who desperately need it. Folks who are looking to our elected officials for leadership and moral clarity during this time.

Been taking a closer look at the #paidsickdays and #familyleave provisions of the #familiesfirst Coronavirus Response Act that the House just passed. Some first impressions.
The bill amends the #FMLA AND has a new Act that requires private employers with fewer than 500 workers and all public employers to offer #paidsickleave.
Mandatory #paidsickleave ONLY applies if you are affected by #coronavirus and need time off because you are sick or exposed or if you have a family member who is affected (either sick or home from school or childcare because of closures).
The #coronavirus situation is developing and changing rapidly. We can all do our part to prevent the spread of the virus by being prepared and staying informed. I wanted to let you know what precautions my team and I are taking now to do our part.

Today, we will pass the Families First Coronavirus Response Act after reaching an agreement with the Administration. This legislation builds on the action that House Democrats took last week to put #FamiliesFirst with our strong, bipartisan $8.3 billion emergency funding package.
#FamiliesFirst is about testing, testing, testing. To stop the spread of the virus, we have secured free #coronavirus testing for everyone who needs a test, including the uninsured.
For families’ economic security, #FamiliesFirst secures paid emergency leave with two weeks of paid sick leave and up to three months of paid family and medical leave. We have also secured enhanced Unemployment insurance for those who lose their jobs.
There is a lot going wrong with the admin’s current response, but I also want to make to highlight some of the progress my House colleagues & I are making on Coronavirus response despite challenges.
