This is a land where we value freedom. It's our motto: strong and free. And #Alberta just returned a libertarian to be its premier. Some of you may not like it, but no one will run you out like I was run out of my native land by armed communist thugs. Not here.
People on AB are free to come and go, which is why we hated lockdowns and tossed out a premier when he insisted on more restrictions. That said, a portion of us loved the restrictions. We're not a political monolith. We're a free, vibrant society with diverse views.
Outside of #ab millions of Canadians have no idea what has been brewing in one of the most bizarre political stories in the history of Cdn politics. Some day a movie will be made -might be called Premier and the Preacher. The Premier, Danielle Smith. The Preacher is Pawlowsky.
"Pawlowski wanted Smith to convince the prosecutor to drop the charges. The premier explained that she had been working on doing exactly that and would continue to do so with the justice minister and his deputy.
Smith also let drop that she had been questioning prosecutors “weekly” about the case. If all true, it is a shocking interference with the justice system on behalf of someone facing criminal charges.

After two consecutive days of decrease on Nov 8th & 9th, Nov 10th rose again to break the record for the highest number of absences this year. (Dating back to Jan 10, 2022).
Alberta's CMOH Deena Hinshaw has been replaced with Dr. Mark Joffe effective today.

Kenney says it's clear #AB passed peak of omicron infections weeks ago. He points to England, Scotland, Denmark lifting restrictions and states like CA and NJ removing mask mandates.
He says active cases, rolling 7-day avg of new cases has dropped steadily from 7k to 2k/day with total active cases falling from 55k to about 30k now.
Infectious disease specialist Dr. Stephanie Smith says she thinks it may be "a little bit early" from a hospital perspective to lift #COVID19 restrictions. She says hospitalizations have plateaued, not declined. 1/4 #ABCOVID

2. It's been almost 1 week since the $100 vaccine incentive - the dial has barely moved. I don't think anyone is surprised.
