#CheGuevara was killed in Bolivia some 54 years ago today. #AhmadShahMassoud and Che were both formidable guerilla commanders. They had so much in common and yet so different in ideology. They both fought for what they believed was right and a just cause for their people.
They were from different backgrounds and cultures. One was fighting for communism, whilst the other against communism. Che was jaguar of the jungle whilst Massoud was the snow leopard of the mountains. Both were charasmatic and deeply respected for their abilities on the field
Had they met- there would have been no need for a translator. They would have understood each others language. The language of taking on a far superior force with limited resources, but the might of your people behind you. The language of #GuerrillaWarfare. Men of the field!

Che mengunjungi Gaza untuk melanjutkan perjuangannya menentang imperialisme Barat di seluruh dunia. Lima bulan sebelumnya Che baru saja menyaksikan jatuhnya diktator Fulgencio Batista di Kuba.
Dalam lawatannya itu Che berjalan-jalan melihat kamp-kamp para pengungsi Palestina. Di sana dia disambut hangat dengan nyanyian dan teriakan revolusi Kuba.

So, because I’m tired of Coronatweets, and I’m stuck on a 3 hour plane and don’t want to do real work, I thought I’d distract you with some general thoughts on this year’s Eurovision songs, in my first #ESC2020 thread of the year

Varios medios preguntan por el concepto de #EquilibrioEstricto del informe de #Yesa. Significa que no hay estabilidad. En 2012 el VII Congreso hispano-luso de #Geofísica presentó "Movimientos de ladera inducidos por #Terremoto en España: una revisión" de Alfaro, P. et al, aclara:
Obviamente las nuevas grietas son una consecuencia de ese estado generalizado de falta de margen para la estabilidad. Por lo tanto lo que dicen en la #CHE de que no afectarían a la estabilidad global de la ladera es verdad, porque no la hay.
#Yesa es un medio geológico inestable y sólo a veces, por circunstancias climáticas o modificaciones puntuales favorables, muestra pequeños márgenes de estabilidad, para —dentro de las condiciones normales de su naturaleza inestable— volver a su ser. Esta debió ser la mirada.
Una de las cuestiones que más llama la atención del nuevo informe de #Yesa es el concepto de "equilibrio estricto" que viene a ser el factor de seguridad 1 de toda la vida FS=1. Es decir, fuerzas que sostienen la ladera (rozamiento y cohesión) son iguales a las desestabilizantes.
Era de esperar como adelantamos hace años, al ser tan escaso y comprometido, habría que cambiar de método, ¡y vaya si se ha cambiado! Ahora no es adecuado a no ser que prometa (como siempre) que el FS mejoraría. Obviamente si empeora (es lo sucedido) el parámetro no es adecuado.
La ladera derecha de #Yesa que en 2013 estaba "absolutamente paralizada" ya sólo se mueve menos de 2 mm al mes. Además, gracias a que está en equilibrio se recomiendan nuevas actuaciones para consolidar la seguridad que ya era segura, pero en diferido: navarra.es/es/noticias/20…
Recordemos que debió haber sido entregada en 2009 por 113 millones. En 2019 aún se están proyectando nuevas medidas. En esta gráfica se ve que el "equilibrio" viene de 2013. El presupuesto se acerca ya a 500 millones.
