๐Ÿ’ญKutengeneza malengo ya ndoto ambayo yatafanya zawadi yako iwe hai ni hatua muhimu katika kufikia mafanikio. Hapa kuna hatua kadhaa za kufuata ili kutengeneza malengo ya ndoto:
#Goals #Gifts Image
๐Ÿ”นTafakari kuhusu ndoto yako:
Fikiria ndoto yako na tafuta kujua ni kitu gani hasa unachotaka. Jiulize maswali kama: Ni nini hasa unachotaka kufanikisha? Ni kwa nini unataka kufanikisha hilo? Ni nini kitakachokusaidia kufikia hilo?

As a professional who helps startups find funding, I often ask my clients to talk to me as if I were a prospective investor.

I've compiled a list, and in this thread, I'll share the top 15 things startup founders should AVOID saying to investors.

#startupadvice #investorpitch
1/ "We don't have a clear revenue model yet, but we'll figure it out eventually."

Come on... no investor wants to hear this! Have a solid plan for generating revenue from the start.

#startupadvice #revenuemodel
2/ "We don't have any competition."

None? Not at all? Every startup has competition, even if it's indirect. Do your research and be prepared to discuss your competitive landscape.

5 Simple Steps to Break the Social Media Time Suck and Rediscover Your Life...
1. Set limits for yourself. Decide how much time you want to spend on social media each day and stick to it. You can use tools like screen time tracking on your phone to help you stay within your limits.
2. Create boundaries for yourself. Consider designating specific times of the day for checking social media, rather than constantly scrolling throughout the day.

Amazing advise from Imam al-Ghazali on #timemanagement

โ€œYour time should not be without any structure, such that you occupy yourself arbitrarily with whatever comes along. ๐Ÿงต
Rather, you must take account of yourself and order your worship during the day and the night, assigning to each period of time an activity that must not be neglected nor replaced by another activity.
By this ordering of time, the blessing in time will show itself.

A person who leaves himself without a plan as animals do, not knowing what he is to do at any given moment, will spend most of his time fruitlessly.

๐Ÿ’ก We've tried over 30 productivity hacks & techniques over the years. Some worked, while others were total waste of time.

We wanted to share 7 of the best, so you can ignore the rest, and get sh*t done! ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ‘‡

#productivity #timemanagement
1) Automations
Using things like Zapier, IFTT and other similar tools to take care of tedious tasks is an absolute no-brainer. Think of these as "recipes". Set up 2-5 recipes to handle your mundane tasks, you'll gain back at least 2-3 hours in your day!
2) Pomodoro Technique:
Once we started living life in 20/25 min blocks, it changed the game. Tasks that you think will take 5 mins need the ~20mins & tasks that need more time end up being chunked nicely into the blocks. Even better if you can gamify it (I hit 7 promos today!)

1. Stop hitting the snooze button

- Have those extra minutes of sleep ever done you any good?

- Snoozing starts a sleep cycle you arenโ€™t able to finish โ€“ makes you more tired

- Rip those covers off as the alarm goes and start your day with the correct mindset
2. Stop scrolling as soon as you wake up

- What you read/ see might trigger a stress response - puts you on edge for the rest of the day

- Uses a lot of time - rushes the rest of your morning

- Do something that stimulates the brain within the first 60 mins of being awake

As product managers, we all could use a little more time. So here are some things I wish my younger product manager-self had known about 10 years ago:

#productmanagement
#timemanagement
1. Delegate and empower your team.

This is one of the biggest levers, but it needs some practicing (for you and the team). Frame it like this: Itโ€™s not about getting rid of tasks, itโ€™s about finding out how you can add most value as a PM.

mindtheproduct.com/3-things-produโ€ฆ
2. Donโ€™t go down every rabbit hole.

@onejasonknight wrote this helpful threat on how to โ€œlet goโ€ and adapt things you have control over to free up some of your time.

According to a @FastCompany #article & an @indeed #poll, in the #techindustry, I'm old.

And not just a little old, a LOT old. I've been in #tech longer than many of my colleagues have been alive!

But that's OK & here's why (๐Ÿงต):

#fastcompany

fastcompany.com/90504623/tech-โ€ฆ
1. You can't gain experience from a book (or website or app or ...)

The only way you gain #experience is by doing things over time.

That's it!

No shortcuts!

No cheat codes!

And I've had the time to gain the experience which shows on my #resume & portfolio.
2. I grew up before the Internet!

The Internet's biggest #advantage can also be its biggest failure. "Just Google it!" has become the modern mantra because it's easier to find a #solution than to figure it out.

My ability to problem solve is becoming rare! And marketable!

People often ask about how to be productive or if I have any productivity hacks. I don't really consider them as hacks but these are the things I do. #productivity #manager #timemanagement
- Be ruthless with my calendar and theme my day so I can reserve focus time (eg: Meetings days, Writing days, Strategy days, etc)
- Observe my energy levels and schedule appropriate activities
- Understand what sparks my creativity and do more of that regularly
- Not relying on my memory โ€” Record any ideas within 20 seconds

Nothing sucks more than working hard, for a long time, only to find out you have nothing to show for it.

It's a byproduct of mistaking action for progress.

And it's a BIG #productivity mistake that can be avoided with a few quick steps.

Here's how...
You take steps to make sure you're activities stay aligned with where you want to go in the manner that I'll cover here.

There are actually 3 steps and that would be getting clear on your #Outcome, your Objective, and your Action Items.
With these Three Steps, you can increase your productivity massively.

1/3 Here's a great #Time #Hack to schedule meetings. Calendly has a header feature for e-meetings, i.e. Networking, Project Request, and Team meetings, etc. Tools to use might be a conference call or Zoom.

#VirtualMeeting #TimeManagement #TechTools

calendly.com
2/3 The duration might be different across each category, i.e. 15 minutes for networking, 30 for team true-ups, and 45 for a project request.
Throw in an admin ensuring that you have a 15-minute transition between each block . . . and you have a strong strategy for use of Calendly.

A quickfire thread based on a book I read recently titled " 80/20 YOUR LIFE " .

Disclaimer : This is MY interpretation & the ratio (80/20) is variable..
The essence here is to identify what matters & weed out the inconsequential & thereby manage time accordingly.
2/12
The #Pareto principle - 80/20 Rule is pretty well known & discussed in context of work & business productivity.
But it can also be applied practically in our day to day life in all possible aspects to ensure smooth sailing.
How do we do that? ๐Ÿค”
3/12
Pretty simple actually !
Our Top priority goal must be a S.M.A.R.T goal aka :

Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Relevant
Time based goal .

Everything is #time based as time saved can be used constructively for other purposes or even wasted happily ! :))

1. Go easy on yourself
Engineering management is a difficult job to do well. Becoming a great engineering manager means doing a couple of things every day. You canโ€™t get there overnight, so cut yourself some slack, and you'll be under less stress.
2. Do a calendar audit
This is the very foundation for everything you do to manage your time effectively: examine your calendar and take stock of your time. Doing a calendar audit only takes a few minutes, but itโ€™ll help you tremendously.
