Based on defining a staycation as 'staying in the UK' like so many seem to (wrongly) do, I never actually had a holiday until I went on a day trip to Calais aged 11. #staycation
For any avoidance of doubt - a staycation is where you stay in your own house but do 'holiday-type stuff'.
And as an aside, if you think staying in the UK for a holiday is somehow second rate, get over yourself. When I was in primary school, we were doing well because we managed to actually go on holidays at all (always in a tent, always in the UK).

...so-named because of the dozen sea caves in the cliffs. (The caves eroded naturally but one, Tucker's Tunnel, was extended by mining.) A small town with grocery stores, restaurants, a bank and a hotel quickly sprang up.
