Today I had the absolute honour of meeting Abdulfatah Sabouni, a fourth generation Syrian soap maker who has a successful soap business @alepposavonāin Calgary! š #ExploreAlberta #yyc 
Abdulfatah came to Alberta in 2016. He immediately went to school to learn English. Then opened his soap business shortly after in 2018! His family has been making soaps for over 125 years, and the soap itself is one of the oldest styles in the world (thousands of years old!) š¤Æ
Thereās actually only a few Aleppo soap makers in the WORLD, and @alepposavon is the only Aleppo soap maker in North America. Really, really cool right? š Abdfulfatah's last name even means soap maker!! š§¼
Earlier today, the UCP announced that they have received the report from the Coal Policy Committee but will not be releasing it publicly at this time. š§µ

This report has been delayed three times now, and the Minister of Energy ensured that Albertans would know its contents on New Year's Eve.
Now, the government has turned tail once again and stated they will review the report and its recommendations before releasing to the public. No date has been committed for this public release.

In a news release Wednesday, the Government of Alberta added 10 free $90 Kananaskis Conservation Passes to a second vaccine lottery prize pool, requiring Albertans to re-submit their entry.
Environment Minister Jason Nixon only introduced the pass a few weeks ago, and it came into effect June 1.
As we approach the Labour Day weekend, here's something to keep in mind.
