After nearly a half century of being open for Albertans, the UCP imposed the Kananaskis Conservation Pass in 2021, which has taken around $15 million dollars from Albertans accessing their own backyards. 2/ š§µ
While the UCP claimed that the money from the Kanaskis fee would be totally reinvested in Kananaskis, it was recently revealed that $2 million a year was being spent on a private security firm to enforce compliance with the K-Country Pass. 3/ š§µ

This report has been delayed three times now, and the Minister of Energy ensured that Albertans would know its contents on New Year's Eve.
Now, the government has turned tail once again and stated they will review the report and its recommendations before releasing to the public. No date has been committed for this public release.
Jason Kenneyās vaccine lottery prizes now include free access to enjoy and explore Kananaskis Country, an area that used to be free to access before the UCP formed government.

In a news release Wednesday, the Government of Alberta added 10 free $90 Kananaskis Conservation Passes to a second vaccine lottery prize pool, requiring Albertans to re-submit their entry.
Environment Minister Jason Nixon only introduced the pass a few weeks ago, and it came into effect June 1.
Since @jkenney does nothing these days except complain and try to distract from his record, let's give him a reminder.

Just in: A poll from Edmonton firm Advanis finds that 73% of Albertans support the province's Bighorn Country proposal, while only 16% oppose. 11% neither oppose nor support. #ableg #abparks
The poll was conducted between Dec. 10 and 19 and included a sample size of 1,077 randomly selected respondents. News release says this is considered to adequately represent the population with a margin of error of +/- 3%, 19 times out of 20. #ableg
