a-yuan comes home from school one day to see his baba in bed, which in itself isn't something new, but baba isn't awake, which is. many times, baba lays in bed to work or to watch something or to read. but, he's always awake to welcome him home.

ever since sizhui had come to live with his parents, baba had worked from home as a freelancer so that he could be there whenever a-yuan needed him. so, it's not new to find baba lounging in bed when he gets home, but it's very eerie to come back to a silent home.
worried, a-yuan checks his baba, and sure enough, baba is running a fever. a-yuan knows that he should call diedie in such a situation, but he's old enough to look after baba now, isn't he? he's 16! he can look after baba for a few hours till diedie gets home.

But soon it was obvious that Wwx was maybe not free to just explore Lwj's domestic fantasies. Just a couple days later, the first mention of his kids made Lwj feel his heart fall to his stomach.

a-yuan is not a kid anymore. he knows that in the past 10 or so years that he's been adopted by baba, baba has not been celibate. he's had dates, many dates, looking back on it. when he was a child, he didn't know, but now as a teen, he does. his baba dates.
but baba has /never/ brought anyone home before. ever. just the fact that baba feels comfortable enough to introduce his boyfriend to him means that this is very serious. like, maybe wedding serious. and that is the crux of the matter, isn't it?

Loving the idea of Wei Wuxian, self-proclaimed bachelor for life. He’s accepted he’s not made for kids or family! I mean, he likes kids, sure, but SURELY he can’t be responsible enough for a very small being!

Wwx’s life had been a roller coaster, but now he’s in his 30s, in the tech business and making a shit ton of money. He buys himself a bachelor’s house in the same village as his sister bcos ofc he would stay close to her now that he could afford it!
He builds his house and he makes it super effing cool, which also means it’s most likely unsafe for both drunks and children alike.

I do think that modern wangxian marry young, and start their family young! I think they have three biokids, two adopted kids, and probably two more unofficial foster kids that they just happened to pick up.
