So I just found out that it is illegal in most US states for parents to disinherit their disabled children.

Which is interesting because my parent disinherited me last year basically BECAUSE I’m disabled and she “didn’t believe it.”

Which also means:
The flying monkeys/enablers who took part in deliberately destroying my life a year ago at the behest of my parent who wanted my life destroyed because she didn’t believe I was disabled—& therefore are expecting $$$ from my parent’s will as compensation for destroying my life…
May not be as financially secure as they think they are

Now that my parent is dead

& everyone is drooling over what the will says/what their chunk of the booty will be.

I’m interested in finding an estate attorney knowledgeable abt this (licensed to practice in Colorado).

If someone disagrees w/you about science, but others agree w/that person, that person is NOT “abusive.”

And no. You aren’t an f-ing hero for using the word “abusive” in your attempt to paint yourself as a hero.

You’re a worm w/ZERO CONCEPT of the reality of “abuse.”

The biggest issue with solving covid & long covid is certain select self-described “professionals” with fragile egos who make everything ten times more complex bc they can’t play nice with the other kids. We are doing this TO OURSELVES.
Meanwhile, people are DYING.

Combining LSD (enhanced creativity and imaginal powers) and MDMA (radical love and emotional safety) to heal complex trauma (#cPTSD) ft. Ideal Parent Figure Protocol

Thread / Trip Report (25 odd tweets)
You know how we have these negative incident traumas that cause us to develop fear-based emotional learnings etc. These events are tangible and specific, and hence somewhat straightforward to process + resolve.
But then there's complex trauma, which is not about a single big incident or even a few big incidents. Rather it's the accumulation of a series of incidents over many years. And often it's not even about something that happened, but things that did NOT happen.

My 1906 Steinway Model O - this was my Great Aunts/ (fairy) God Mothers - somehow gratefully came into my world circa 2015 - its arrival actually contributed to the major BP1 High I had that year (pictured) which got me diagnosed -3 decades of intense suffering too late but hey🥰 Image
Attempting to arrange its arrival single handedly was an unmitigated tragi/comedy disaster, which is kind of the norm I've come to expect as someone with brain damage to the frontal cortex executive organising part of the brain.
You don't want the gory details of the wake of destruction & demolition that resulted in this 6'6 grand piano entering my living roof. Suffice to say I needed a jobbing builder, in all 3 times.......

1. This is completely normal in #trauma!Laying down memory is a complex process & so is “retrieving” memories.
It’s unfortunate when memories that come flooding back are so horrific bc it can be like experiencing the event all over again for the second time, but yes (cont)
2. those memories can come flooding back DECADES later.
Whilst devastating, on some level it can make things make so more sense, but also sometimes add to feeling of confusion as to whether event really happened.
3. It can make you doubt yourself even more which is tragic. It can feel like the brains cruelest of jokes. When those memories return we often prefer to doubt them as the content are so painful. A good clinician will not make u feel like a liar. @dhanyajmani @angelo_virgona

Family violence & sexual assault is Traumatic. There is overwhelming evidence of long term social & health impacts. We are increasingly aware of the huge no’ s of ppl living in our community with the scars of abuse. It remains unbelievable to me though that there is no
publicly funded service that deals specifically wt the mental & physical impacts of abuse in one safe venue with trauma informed staff. It’s been an honour to work wt
@sally_stevensxn @wtrcillawarra & an amazing team inc @trish_acullen @mike_salter to try & make this vision
a reality..we are now one step closer now with the ‘Federal Inquiry into Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence’ released today with Recommendation 77 supporting the Trauma Recovery Centre! This is so exciting & I hope there is follow through with this recommendation. #PTSD

After getting out of a domestically violent relationship and a fundamentalist, cult-like religion within a few months of each other, I felt a sense of freedom that I had never felt before.
I was under the impression, initially, that leaving these relationships was all that I needed to do in order to embrace a new life. In reality, leaving was obviously important, but only the first step.

One of the biggest myths about childhood trauma is that those who are abused grow up to abuse. While we can't ignore that some do struggle to break the cycle of learned violence, survivors are far more likely to be re-victimized than ever harm another.

Most run on compassion.
We need to take more time acknowledging the strength AND warmth of these resilient survivors; the gift they have to see the needs of the world and lend empathic solutions.
Much of the hard, humanitarian work you see around you is led by them - even if you had no idea.

It's survivors of significant adversity, flooded w/ empathy, driven to spare others of the suffering they endured for far too long.
