In this article, @BokoWatch examined Gov. Zulum’s recommendations in the wake of the #ZabarmariMassacre. The author worried that Zulum is drifting from his “soft” war on BH to a “hard” one. With respect, I think Jacob misconstrued Zulum’s position on this.

Gov. Zulum has always advocated for the use of force on BH and I think he’s right. A vicious terrorists group that targets civilians deserves all the military might in the world. Violence must be used to prevent the group’s fighters from killings & destruction and decimate them.
The Zulum economic and education approach Jacob highlighted are first intended to ameliorate the hardship BH has plunged civilians into, but may also address some of the factors pushing people to BH. I think it should continue but it shouldn’t be a trade off for force against BH.

Yes, 2020 has been a turbulent year but the menace associated with the Nigerian saga has nothing to do with the calendar year. Nigeria's present administration is a tale of insensitivity, wickedness and a high level of incompetence.
Six years ago, it was #BringBackOurGirls. The previous administration was castigated and labelled a failure. Till today, some of the abducted Chibok girls are nowhere to be found. The new hashtag is now #BringBackOurBoys.
Peaceful #EndSARS protests were disrupted by the #LekkiTollGateMassacre in October. Few days ago, over 40 farmers were beheaded in cold blood in a gruesome #ZabarmariMassacre and now, over 600 Kankara students are nowhere were kidnapped right under the nose of the president.

THE HYPOCRISY OF AREWA

Ordinarily, I would have 'ignored' this #ZabarmariMassacre, but the the humanity in me will not allow me look away. I would have also tagged it 'fake news', but because 43 human beings have been beheaded and, I feel too pale to play it down.
If Arewa does not kill hypocrisy, hypocrisy will kill Arewa. Prior to 2015 Arewa was most louder, firm and critical. They said all manner of things. I am quick to hold that they were that 'vociferous' because a @GEJonathan was involved. Today, Arewa blame everybody but @MBuhari."
Despite the abomination and barbarous cruelty that is ongoing in the north, Arewa has decided to keep a sealed lips. And whenever they speak, it is on non-issues: dressing, 'alcohol' and sinners' crusade. They dare not hold their leaders to account. Woe betide them.
