On 3rd March scientists at our @CVRinfo were able to sequence #SARS_COV_2 from Scotlandās first #Covid19 case. In <24hrs researchers were able to share the data worldwide - a crucial process in informing vital research #WorldChangingGlasgow

One of the finest examples of prehistoric rock art was discovered in #Clydebank at the end of the 19th century. Buried again in 1965 for protection, UofG's Dr Kenny Brophy & team excavated the @cochnostone again in 2016 to conduct intricate digital scans and documentationāļøš¬
Tonight MSPs at @ScotParl will recognise the importance of the work undertaken by Dr Brophy, @UofGArchaeo and the countless volunteers from the Clydebank community who helped, including the local fire brigade - seen here helping to clean the stonešØāšš

Commenting on the findings from this landmark UofG led study @WillStewNeuro says: āAlthough former pro football players had a higher risk of death from neurodegenerative disease, they are less likely to die of other common diseases, such as heart disease and some cancersā.
āLooking in detail at neurodegenerative disease subtypes, the study revealed risk ranged from a 5-fold increase in #AlzheimersDisease, through an approximately 4-fold increase in #MND, to a 2-fold risk for #Parkinsons Disease, compared to population controlsā @WillStewNeuro
