Quite a lot, I suggest! For one thing, a common perception of post-Yeltsin Russia is of a dominant centralizing government and compliant regions. In reality, there's more bargaining and contestation than this suggests.
Both Moscow and Kazan have treated the issue of Tatarstan's presidency quite delicately, even when the title contradicted federal law.

Until now, research suggested that poorer voters wanted Brexit, no matter the costs, and richer voters chose Remain.
But there’s a lot of heterogeneity in Leave and Remain votes. And a substantial % of strong eurosceptics voted to Remain.

Late in 2018, we identified the universe of political scientists working at PhD-granting institutions and determined which of them were on Twitter. We then scraped them in the spring of 2019. 2/18
#polisci Twitter is predominantly male, tenured, and liberal, consistent with the discipline in general. However, women and tenure-track scholars are more likely to be on Twitter than men and tenured scholars. 3/18

In many ways, graduate school is designed to make students feel like impostors. It's a common experience, but it can be particularly damaging for members of groups that have traditionally lacked access to the higher ranks of our discipline. I’ll focus on women here. 2/n
For these folks, the feeling that they have “faked” or “charmed” their way into graduate school (or the #tenuretrack, etc.) can override objective evidence of their own diligence, intellect, and merit. 3/n
