Thank you defeatists Never Trumpers for whining all month how no-chance @HerschelWalker has in the runoff which helped depress GOP vote.

Thank you!

Go ahead. Let me read your latest Blame-Trump Thread/Article.

(Walker is a rubber stamp for @LeaderMcConnell so whatever).
For an OMG-BAD candidate, Walker held his own.

In 2018, Abrams lost to Kemp by 1.4 points. She was held up as a good candidate and ran again in 2022.

Walker lost to an incumbent Senator by only 0.9 points in November, and it is quite close in the runoff (despite defeatist NTs).
A reminder to @EWErickson et al that in early 2020, Kemp appointed Loeffler as Senator as the Establishment's choice to the seat now held by Warnock.

"McConnell backs Georgia governor’s pick for Senate amid Trump skepticism." - Politico 12/3/09.

Go ahead. Blame Trump!

Trump lost NV by smaller margins (2.4 points) than McCain (12.6) and Romney (6.7). His Senate candidate lost by a much smaller margin (0.9%) this year than the two machine GOPs who lost the last two #NVSen elections (2.4 and 5.0), yet we keep hearing about Trump & His Candidates.
The people who self righteously undercut Trump in name of #CountryOverParty, are explaining to you why Trump and "his" candidates have lost some elections (that many Establishment Republicans lost in the past and often by wider margins).
Many Quality Candidates that were going to win the general if only they won the primary, didn't um, how do I say this, win the primary against Bad Trump Candidates!

If they are so great, they would be the ones pulling in 40% - 60% of the GOP vote, clowns.

.@RRHElections Indeed, candidate quality matters:

The machine's Martha McSally who lost #AZSen by 2.4% in 2018, lost it again by 2.4% in a year that Trump lost the state by only 0.3%.

@KariLake this year is down only 0.6 there and the AG candidate broke even.

cc @EWErickson
.@SeanTrende Besides, many Republicans/Cons who whine about Trump Candidates, made it fashionable or even a call of patriotism for Republicans/Cons to oppose Trump/his candidates, and when they lose (often by fractions), the saboteurs are like all "see? We told you." cc @brithume
Hey @SeanTrende @RRHElections @EWErickson @brithume: I am not sure how candidates of such low quality that they fail in high turnout GOP primaries, would suddenly win the general. The first test is to win the primary, and candidates need many of these "crazies" for the general.

The most Trumpian/2020-election focused statewide candidate lost by 25K votes among 2.57 million given.

I am sure it proves right all your hot takes about Biden, Trump, 2020, inflation, democracy, abortion.

Oh, plenty GOPs voted Dems to own Trump so it proves 2 X 0, clowns.
This candidate, @KariLake, won 48% of the GOP Primary vote. By attacking her as a "Trump Candidate," U R saying that 48% of GOP AZ Primary voters are dumb idiots who if not for Trump would choose a candidate of quality.

Ya. Being condescending to your own base is a winner!
Lake's loss in AZ is narrow enough to be put at the feet of GOP voters who are willing to blow up winnable races just to own Trump. This shtick can be done to DeSantis too, so how does this prove a deficiency in "Trump Candidates"?

Sorry, there is no Clark County in Oregon. 🤦‍♂️

It's the end of day 3 post-Election Day in Nevada. @TheNVIndy has projected winners for nearly every statewide race, except a tight race for Nevada's Senate seat.

Where do things stand in NV? What ballots were counted today?

Here's a goodnight roundup from the #WeMatter state:
The big update: Republican Joe Lombardo has been projected to win the Nevada gubernatorial race, unseating Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak, while there is still no projected winner in the Senate race between Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto and Republican Adam Laxalt.
Today saw 46k ballots tabulated and reported (Clark - 27.3k, Washoe - 11k, Douglas - 5.1k, Carson - 2.6k). The results from Washoe (+1.1k for CCM) and Douglas + Carson (+1.2k for Laxalt) practically offset while CCM won Clark mail by more than 8k.

Now: Laxalt leads by 862 votes.

Nevada election results update: Washoe County has published an update, with about 11k mail ballots tabulated and reported in this batch.

I’ll have updated numbers for the Nevada Senate race posted soon.
With a new batch of 11k ballots counted in Washoe County, here are the #nvsen results:
- Cortez Masto received 5.8k votes (53 percent)
- Laxalt received 4.7 votes (43 percent)

This drops Laxalt’s statewide lead from nearly 2k votes back down to about 800.
The margins in this Washoe batch were tighter than in recent mail batches from the battleground county, but Nevada’s remaining uncounted votes are almost all from mail-in ballots, which Cortez Masto has consistently won more votes from.

Here are updated Washoe estimates after the latest drop. CCM should be able to build a lead of about 17.7k with Clark and Washoe ballots; remaining rural scattering and provisionals are unlikely to be enough for Laxalt. #NVSen
Correction: Here are updated *statewide* estimates after the latest Washoe drop.
Ugh screwed up the CCM Net row but everything else is correct. My apologies. Update tomorrow will be cleaner.

hey folk! @ClimateHawkVote hardly ever endorses incumbents, but there's an urgent situation in Georgia, so we're endorsing @ReverendWarnock today. Donate! and short thread WHY, beyond the obvious. bit.ly/3zZTktF
@ClimateHawkVote @ReverendWarnock UNobvious: Georgia is becoming a clean energy powerhouse and much of that is @ReverendWarnock's doing. Batteries for EV plants in Augusta? That's him getting infrastructure bill funds.
@ClimateHawkVote @ReverendWarnock UNobvious: remember that LG/ SK trade dispute that would have kept an EV battery factory from being built in GA? @ClimateHawkVote got involved because I talked w/ a Warnock staffer.

On @NRSC call this AM with donors/supporters, @LindseyGrahamSC stressed the #GASEN runoff strategy will be to flood FOX News programs + Hannity on behalf of @HerschelWalker, per a person on call.

Graham, @SenRickScott + @newtgingrich spoke

Noted Libertarian won't be on ballot.
@NRSC @LindseyGrahamSC @HerschelWalker @SenRickScott @newtgingrich On same @NRSC call, @LindseyGrahamSC stayed bullish on #NVSEN arguing dropbox ballots are performing closer to E-Day turnout split.

Only a very short mention on #AZSEN ... where @bgmasters has a tougher climb back.
@NRSC @LindseyGrahamSC @HerschelWalker @SenRickScott @newtgingrich @bgmasters This as analysts note that Catherine Cortez Masto is likely to overtake Adam Laxalt by the weekend, thru mail-in ballots.

The source noted this was a call to keep the faith and rai$e money.

Just put this together to simplify what’s going on in #NVSen.

From @s_golonka, we know that there are *at least* 70k outstanding ballots in Clark and 40k in Washoe. If CCM wins by the same clip she did yesterday (65/30 Clark, 61/36 Washoe), she’s in great shape.
She can also afford to win by margins as low as 57/38 in Clark and 53/44 in Washoe, and I don’t think Laxalt will come close to getting that many votes.

TL;DR is Cortez Masto is favored and with more ballots coming in until Saturday, it should only pad an eventual lead.
Extra nugget: if CCM holds her 65/30 Clark and 61/36 Washoe margins, she’ll win by about 2%, which might sound familiar to those who read @RalstonReports.

Washoe County — an urban swing county where Nevada’s top races remain tight — has published updated election results, with about 20,000 ballots counted in this batch.

I’ll have some updated numbers for the top-of-ticket races posted here soon.

- Cortez Masto received 12.6k votes (61 percent)
- Laxalt received 7.4k votes (36 percent)

This drops Laxalt’s statewide lead from more than 21k to less than 16k.
In that batch of nearly 21k mail votes counted in Washoe County, here are the #nvgov results:
- Sisolak received 12.2k (59 percent)
- Lombardo received 7.6k votes (37 percent)

This drops Lombardo’s statewide lead from nearly 39k to a little more than 34k.

Looks like Nevada has ~70k Clark and ~61k Washoe mail ballots left. Cortez Masto would need to carry these by 13.59% to pull ahead.

Beyond this, there are also:
- Provisionals
- Signature cure ballots
- Some rural votes
- Postmarked mail ballots that arrive by Saturday.

#NVSEN
Cortez Masto carried the most recent batch of Clark mail ballots by 35%, so we'll see if that continues with the remaining ~70k Clark ballots. Washoe, however, is likely a lower CCM margin based on the party registration data of the mail ballots there.

NEVADA SENATE Update:

Laxalt leads by 22,595 votes statewide
~145,000 mail ballots left to count (Clark + Washoe)

Cortez Masto needs to win these mail ballots by ~15.6% to pull ahead.

(This doesn't include mail ballots arriving through Saturday).

Positive signs for Cortez Masto:
- Apparently other mail ballot batches in Clark had been going 2-1 Democratic.
- The Culinary Union was encouraging its members to drop off mail ballots at drop boxes, so the margin with these drop box ballots may be especially Democratic.
Positive signs for Laxalt:
- Washoe mail ballots less Democratic than Clark mail ballots.
- Washoe mail ballots received on Election Day were actually slightly more Republican by party registration.
- Possible that late mail ballots could be less Democratic than earlier ones.

All of Clark County's Election Day results have been uploaded to the Secretary of State's website.

Joe Lombardo is now ahead of Steve Sisolak statewide by 16,000 votes. Adam Laxalt leads Cortez Masto by just 615 votes.

We're still waiting on the rest of Washoe County's Election Day results, as well as rural (and red) Douglas and Lyon counties.

Expect GOP to boost margins in the statewide races more tonight, but...
As we reported earlier, there are at least 16,000 mail ballots not included in tonight's results still to be counted, plus whatever shows up in the mail.

Likely tens of thousands of Clark mail ballots to be counted as well.

Our final Senate forecast for @SplitTicket_. 49D-50R, with a runoff to decide it all in Georgia. If we had to pick a party to win the majority, though, it's the Republicans.

#PASen: Lean D -> Lean R
#NHSen: Likely D -> Lean D
#NVSen: Tossup -> Lean D

@SplitTicket_ Here's a table showing our changes from our last update. We've said everything we wanted to say and everything we think we needed to say in the article itself. We'll have one more piece out tomorrow on the overall environment. Thanks for reading, folks. Always a pleasure.
I actually had PA and NV *both* going R before @RalstonReports' update. But once we saw the data he put up and then saw his prediction for CCM, we pivoted. There's a good data argument for it, and we wouldn't bet against the guy who got Harry Reid and Dean Heller's victories down
