Three problems with facts and logic in this article:
1) China is getting richer and older. Naturally, it WANTS to move away from labor-intensive and low-wage jobs.
2) The shift is very very slow. Why? Nobody can match China in efficiency, logistics and infrastructure

I've had this #MacBook since early 2017. I love it. I was doing mostly Photoshop, some video editing. "Oh, if you're doing video editing, you need to up the memory." And so I did.

Last year and 2 upgrades later, the MacBook started to run hot, and loud... very hot and loud. So I took it in. "You're running Photoshop and video editing? You don't have enough memory." Also, my battery was going out.
Battery replacement was not covered, so $200.

Itโs time to start a #WWDC Wishlist Mega Thread. Here we go, will keep adding things until the event.
1. iOS 16: Add new languages in Apple Translate. I can hope for Indian languages, especially Hindi, but I think they have a long list before reaching there.
2. Wider rollout for Apple Pay, hopefully we get it in India as well. Indian market is quickly shifting towards Tap to Pay, and the government is encouraging digital payments more than any other country. Apple Pay would be a great addition.

Technically speaking, TouchID is nothing more than an under-glass Camera that captures pictures of the finger used to unlock the device. The metal ring around the button is capable of detecting the finger.

So the $5 ribbon display cable #FlexGate dies on your #Macbook - the maximum you pay is $5. If Apple wants to build the display as a super-integrated, glued unit that has to be replaced as a whole when that cable goes, that choice is theirs, as is the cost of that choice.
Challenges are how #Design is made better. #Regulation works as an evolutionary force to improve the design of products, toward utility for the user.
