It took my legs a few minutes to warm up this morning, but glad to report that long morning walks remain easy, in contrast to later in the day. #Totnes is waking up beautifully ☀️
5 miles walked this morning, with no adverse effects. Then strimmed & mowed a lawn. Great to not be worried about my heart and lungs as I got a real workout from the gardening. However, I'm mindful of the warnings of some with #LongCovid that I should continue to pace myself.

1/8 — On est toujours dans la définition de la science. Il est bien entendu que le terme science arrivera fort tardivement dans sa propre histoire. Dans l’antiquité grecque, dont il va être question plus tard, on parle de philosophie naturelle.👇

Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968). Primer hombre en el espacio y en órbita. El Vostok 1 fue lanzado el 12 de Abril de 1961 y completó una órbita (108 minutos). El abrió el camino con el nombre clave "Кедр" (Cedro).
Alan Shepard (1923-1998). Primer norteamericano en el espacio con el Mercury-Redstone 3 en un vuelo suborbital el 5 de Mayo de 1961. Su cápsula Freedom 7 alcanzó los 190 km de altura y su vuelo duró 15 minutos.

Yesterday 27 June a record temperature of +21.4°C was measured in #Eureka, a remote town of the Canadian Arctic, beating the 20.9° of 14 July 2009

1. This week’s edition of #50Weeks50Constitutions will have you saying #Eureka! Well, maybe that’s just me dreaming in winter about a hotel you can’t leave with some suffer girls. Anyway, stay here & you’ll get some #goldnuggets about the constitution for the State of California.
2. The territory now known as California was under Spanish control from the mid-1700’s until 1822, when Spain ceded it to Mexico after Mexico gained independence. But the Mexican government was more interested in territory closer to the capital.
3. This worked well for the U.S. to achieve Jefferson’s vision of an entire Pacific coast populated by Americans. From the 1840s on there was a big push of immigrating from elsewhere in the country to California.
