1. This election hit me differently this time.
On 9Nov1989 the Berlin Wall came down forever!
31 years now!
I served behind the Berlin Wall for a short time in 1988.
It was an eye-opening experience for a young PFC from a small town in NC.

2. I have many amazing stories and life changing events from working behind the wall.
But, I also saw what leaders like Trump can do to people.
I saw the damage first hand.
I saw how dictators destroy families.
I saw what we were heading for & it wasn't good.

3. But, one thing which stuck with me, during this long four-year battle, is that nothing bad lasts forever as long as good people keep speaking up and fighting for justice!
The people behind the Berlin Wall were hopeful and they never stopped fighting & neither will we.

Andy started his polling career @Gallup because he and his wife needed $650 to pay the hospital fees for the birth of their first child!
Began as a part-time position in evenings while he was doing graduate studies at Rutgers. 2/n.

@HerthaBSC "Juntos contra los muros. Juntos por Berlín" decía el muro que dividía a la cancha. El hecho simbólico fue muy fuerte cuando los dos equipos salieron a hacer la preparación física y el muro los dividía.

No one associated with the Trump admin ever had a history class.The #BerlinWall was built by the Russians after WWII to keep East Germans from being in the "free" West during the Cold War. Crowley is too dull-witted to realize she'd be in the isolated East, not free West.
Crowley is literally on the wrong side of history. The #BerlinWall was a symbol of political represssion for decades. I was living in London when it came down and it was an extraordinary moment--the jubilation. So powerful.
What makes Crowley's comment all the more disconcerting is she has advanced degrees from real colleges--including a PhD from Columbia. Which just highlights how being associated with Trump literally makes you less smart, in addition to ruining your karma.
