Get it straight: @JoeRogan is no right-winger. Yes, he voted for Trump in 2024. In the past he liked Bernie.

He's pro-choice and pro-drugs. He's open-minded and curious. He's America's most famous swing voter, and the Harris campaign screwed this up.

It's not clear to me the "liberal international order" is preventing more violence than it's causing and so whatever Trump does I wouldn't grade it based on preserving something that is leading to endless wars and the strengthening of China. On the contrary, Washington wants to fight until the last Ukranian and is helping wipe out a generation of young men on both sides. And China is the one benefitting. We should be focused on Asia-Pacific if we're anywhere at all.

He’s a millennial who went from a broken violent home to the marines, Yale law, a small fortune, the U.S. Senate, and now the vice presidency.

Look I’m as egalitarian as the next guy, but progressives need to admit sometimes merit is a real thing. Sure plenty of people coast on unearned advantages and schools like Yale are full of kids whose daddy donated $1 million.

Thats not what happened here. Some people actually work their way up and that takes talent.

For weeks, Democrats were worried that Kamala Harris couldn't do a long-form interview with...anyone. Someone who had served as vice president for four years by that point had to do weeks of preparation to talk about the exact same agenda as Joe Biden. She's not smart. I used to be a sometimes-Hill reporter. I'd go down to Capitol Hill and ask Senators questions as they walked around in the subway segment. If I asked Ted Cruz a question about anything on God's green earth, he'd talk my ear off. And he's not Stephen Hawking.

By the way, JD Vance isn’t a bad candidate and that was another stupid thing Democrats convinced themselves of because they live in a closed information environment. In fact, he did far more media in more hostile environments than Harris did, making her look weak.. He’s probably the sharpest person on a presidential ticket since Barack Obama. IMO they shouldn’t consider anything but academic performance. These are schools finding the best performers so we can have the best scientists, engineers, doctors, etc.

We can do the redistribution via tax code and other things later but let’s not hold back our best. I didn’t go to MIT, I’m not that smart. That’s fine, the best people need to go there for everyone’s sake. It’s not MIT seats that need to be redistributed like they’re tax dollars.

I think this is a perfectly fair fact check, but it sort of begs the question of why Kamala Harris had her own set of independent positions in 2019 but doesn't seem to be able to develop any in 2024, she can just pick up Biden's. As far as public perception goes, I don't think GOP's problem is being weird, that's kind of turned into an online thing. Their problem is being mean. They've gotten too hooked on Limbaugh-ism.

Brian Kemp has a 60% approval rating and is extremely conservative, just nice. Glenn Youngkin, same thing. Brian Cox? Also same. In fact, all the most popular Republicans are just nice. Nice goes a long way. Especially if you can say the opponents are mean and you're the nice one.
