In the last few days I have seen someone shamed for wanting more than a tiny slice of the apple pie they made, and someone else, shamed for sharing their birth trauma and told she didn’t love her children. 🧵 The issue is, that we, as mothers, are expected to find joy in sacrifice. And hey, we do get significant joy in seeing our children happy and loved. But we do not cease to be human beings. 🪡
