संसार के सात आश्चर्य की सूची बनाने वालों का संभवतः इतना सामर्थ्य ही नहीं था कि वो भारत के सभी मंदिरों को देख सकते, अन्यथा आज सातों आश्चर्य में केवल और केवल हमारे मंदिरों के नाम होते। इन मंदिरों को देखकर कोई भी कह सकता है कि हमारी विरासत कितनी समृद्ध हुआ करती थी। 
रोमिला थापर, डीएन झा, आर सी गुहा जैसे लोग इतिहासकार बना दिए गए।फिर उसी दौर में वामपंथियों द्वारा पूरे विश्व में ताज महल और कुतुब मीनार का महिमामंडन किया गया, परन्तु भारत के हजारों हिंदू मंदिरों को इतिहास के पृष्ठों में अनदेखा कर दिया गया।

समुद्र तट पर स्थित यह मंदिर अपने आप में अद्वितीय है, आप यहाँ शिव जी की विशाल मूर्ति देख सकते हैं, जिसे आपने नेट पर या मीडिया में शायद कभी देखा होगा। स्कूबा डाइविंग के लिए भी यहाँ उत्तम व्यवस्था है, दिन हो या रात, मंदिर हर समय नया नयनाभिराम दृश्य उपस्थित करता है।

The Bhutanatha group of temples is a cluster of sandstone shrines dedicated to the deity Bhutanatha, in Badami, Karnataka. Bhutanatha temple contain architectural forms from different periods. There are two major temples here.

Temple No.1, on the east side of the lake, called the #BhutanathaTemple has a superstructure that resembles early South Indian style or North Indian style with its open mantapa (hall) extending into the lake.

Kirti Stambha is 12th-century tower situated at Chittor Fort in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. 22-metre-high tower was built by Jain merchant Jeeja Bhagerwala during reign of Rawal Kumar Singh. Tower was dedicated to 1st Tirthankara ADINATH.

The #KirtiStambha is built in the Solanki style. It is 30 feet wide at the base and narrows down to 15 feet at the top. The tower contains figures from the Jain pantheon. It is a major Jain pilgrimage.

The buildings are mainly in brick but the doorways, pillars and sculpture are mostly in two types of stone, which contrast attractively. These are a "blue-green chlorite & local khondalite, a garniferous gneiss with plum-coloured overtones"

Monastery 1 is largest with an overall size of 55 sq m, including 21 sq m for the paved central courtyard. There are 24 surviving cells on ground floor, relatively large & probably occupied by more than one monk. One was used as the monastery treasury.
