= torsion of the cecum around it's mesentery
~10% of intestinal volvuli
30-60yo
often prior abd surgery or pelvic mass
present as prox colon obstruction (pain,n,v, distention)

Cecal volulus:
2 types:
-Axial - twists about axial plane (either way) but remains in RLQ
- Loop type - twists and inverts moving to LUQ
Bascule is a variant where the cecum doesn't twist, just folds up anteriorly (NO torsion!)

Turns out pt had some pain radiating to their neck so they got this C-spine X-ray. Perhaps one of the rare times a non-trauma C-spine X-ray is helpful? 😁

Hx was actually classic "Heard pop w/ pain during intercourse"
US shows 1 corpus spongiosum + 2 corpus cavernosa. Examine for rupture of the tunica albuginea which surrounds the CC and CS ->deflation. Hematoma (red) extends proximally.

-ER often just orders a scrotal US (need penile US).
-Uncommon so US techs may/may not know how to scan

Most collagen fillers are ~fluid density
Radiesse is calcium hydroxylapatite so it is hypderdense on CT (low-intermed on T1/T2 MRI).
Resorbs >2yrs and can see initial local inflam
