1/9 🚨New @Diversity_Turn paper on #tree🌳diversity and stand structure in the #vanilla landscape of northeastern #Madagascar🇲🇬 is finally out in @ApplVegSci
Check this thread for the main takeaways!
#OA paper: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/av…
2/9 Madagascar harbors an exceptionally high diversity of endemic species, especially trees. Many of these species are restricted to the humid Northeast where smallholder vanilla agroforests shape the landscape and support local livelihoods
3/9 Tropical agroforestry has the potential to reconcile biodiversity conservation with production goals. However, agroforests differ in land-use history and this is often neglected in research and policy.

#Vanilla prices are likely the most volatile of any agricultural commodity.

After a 5-year boom, prices seem to crash this year.

#ITM Vs #OTM #Options Which to #BUY?

When selecting the right #option to #buy, a #trader has several choices to make. One is whether to purchase an in-the-money (ITM) or out-of-the-money (OTM) option.
While the goal for "#vanilla" #buyers is to have the option be in the money at expiration, the selected option depends on the amount the trader wants to spend and their risk tolerance, as well as their specific expectations for the underlying stock.
UNDERSTANDING #ITM Vs #OTM

Before delving into the pros and cons of each, let's look at what it means to be itm or otm.
A #call is ITM when the underlying stock is trading above the strike price.
Conversely it is OTM when the underlying stock is trading below the strike price
