Every time I hear the #UnsolvedMysteries theme, I get goosebumps. Not just like “ooohhhh this is scary” but the hair on my arms and legs literally stands on end.
Must be some deep childhood trauma or something. This is atypical. I’m pretty comfortable watching scary or spooky stuff. But this show gets me every time, old or new.
And y’all... I’m a grown man. At this point in my life, I’ve some stuff. But Robert Stack in a trench coach unnerves me.

2/ If you had to visit the locations where the incidents happened, at night and alone, the creepiest location would be walking into the woods behind the church where they found the skull. Next creepiest would be walking in the dark to the creek where they found Alonzo's body.

Thread: I spent a year digging into a story about a hiker who was found dead in a tent in Florida for @adventurevida thanks to editors @jeffmoag and @stevecasimiro. The mystery has kept me awake many nights, scouring the web. Here's how my story begins.
"Sometimes I imagine him falling through space, drifting like dust from dead stars in the vast nowhere above us. I see him take shape in the soft light of a forest before dawn. First a fog, then ephemeral form, then living flesh."
Brief synopsis: he was found dead in tent in July 2018. Weighed 83 pounds. No phone. No wallet. No ID. $3,600 in cash on him, along with notebooks filled with computer code. @CollierSheriff @kristine_gill put out a composite and people immediately recognize the man.
The Fire Marshal came to the conclusion that the vehicle had started on fire in several different areas, which would not be found in an accidental fire, "There's no question in my mind, this fire was not an accident. This fire was intentionally set."

Three weeks later Byram requested that Kathy's body be exhumed for an autopsy, but Allmaras refuses to consent until he's threatened with legal action. Allmaras says the doctor in MN who conducted the autopsy could find no cause of death.

On May 12, 1982, the body of 33 year old Debbie Race washed up on a Lake Superior shore. Her life jacket was intact & had kept her afloat so she did not drown, however it seems she had succumbed to hypothermia from the low temperature of the lake.

Police accused Debbie's husband, Larry Race, of deliberately allowing her to freeze to death in Lake Superior. He was convicted of murder & sentenced to life. Larry claims he is innocent & even has the support of Debbie's parents.
