Eleven reasons to think that Frank Sheeran (played by DeNiro in the new film, #TheIrishman) did *not* kill Jimmy Hoffa on July 30, 1975, as the film portrays. (Factual support for statements below are in articles at end of thread.)
1/ There is no direct evidence, none, to place Sheeran in Detroit on 7/30, or to support other elements of his confession, including that he killed Hoffa. And there is lots of evidence that undermines the confession.
2/ The FBI has Sheeran on tape in 1978 telling a close criminal associate that he didn’t kill Hoffa & was not even in Detroit on July 30, 1975. Sheeran discussed alibi evidence on the tape (gas receipts and witnesses at dinner, all in another state), which he later gave to FBI.

Martin Scorsese, modern sinema tarihinin en büyük hikaye anlatıcılarından birisi. #TheIrishman 3 saat 20 dakika sürmesine rağmen bir an bile ekrandan gözünüzü alamadığınız muhteşem bir film.
Filmin ilk tanıtımını izlediğimde bilgisayar yardımıyla yapılan gençleştirme tekniğinin filmin dokusuna zarar verip vermeyeceği konusunda çekincelerim oluşmuştu. Fakat filmi izlerken hiç bu hisse kapılmadım, teknik çok başarılı bir şekilde kullanılmış.
Tekniğin uygulanış biçiminin fotoğrafta yapılan rötuştan farkı yok. Elbette daha kompleks bir uygulama ama oyuncunun mümkün mertebe mimiklerine ve var olduğu yaştaki fiziki durumuna müdahale edilmemiş. Joe Pesci'de uygulanan tekniği karşılaştırmalı görünce daha iyi anlıyorsunuz.
Hoy se estrenó #TheIrishman en Netflix y, como ya se dicho, la mejor forma de verla es en un cine. Pero como muchos no tuvieron ni van a tener la oportunidad de verla así (o simplemente no quieren) acá van un par de cosas a tener en cuenta para verla en casa.
Si planean ver -como corresponde- las 3:30 horas de corrido procuren dejar el celular o cualquier cosa que los distraiga bien lejos, en lo posible en otra habitación. Visita obligada al baño antes de arrancar. Tres horas y media parece un montón, pero la película lo vale.
Veánla en la TV más grande que puedan y saquen esos modos "Deporte" o "Dinámico" de la configuración. Cada TV tiene distintas configuraciones, investiguen un poco para encontrar cuál es la mejor para películas. De noche mejor que de día, o de día pero con las cortinas bien bajas.

The only thing I read about the film before watching was that it's a Brazilian western and someone said it's Brazil's version of Lagaan. I can say that's true with this film that plays out like a Kurosawa/John Carpenter mash up and it's damn entertaining!
