Die EU ist dabei, Regieren mittels transnationaler Ausschüsse oberhalb der EU systematisch auszubauen, insbesondere im Rahmen umfassender Freihandelsverträge. Dies bedarf dringend klarer Leitplanken und Stoppschilder seitens des Bundesverfassungsgerichts.

El Tribunal Supremo de Irlanda decidió que la Constitución impide al gobierno ratificar el acuerdo comercial UE-Canadá (#CETA) porque infringiría la soberanía jurídica al permitir que un tribunal internacional tome decisiones vinculantes y ejecutables en la legislación irlandesa.
Sin embargo, el Tribunal Supremo afirma que no es ratificable según la legislación irlandesa "en su estado actual" y en otra parte de la sentencia identificó una salida ya que las modificaciones de la ley de arbitraje permitirían la ratificación sin necesidad de un referéndum.
Según @attractaub el Gobierno irlandés no entiende el efecto del acuerdo, ya que propuso una moción para ratificarlo con sólo 55 minutos de debate en diciembre de 2021. Entonces la movilización social y parlamentaria logró que el Gobierno se echara atrás y retiró la moción.

If governments pass laws that upset corporate profits (e.g., environmental regulations) the ICS will allow corporations to bypass national court systems to sue taxpayers (you) in private investor courts...
For example... the community of Rosia Montana in #Romania tried to stop an illegal gold mine from ruining their environment & displacing their residents. The Romanian courts ruled against the mine but the company, Gabriel Resources, is now suing Romania for $5.7 BILLION!
1/ Thread: Big (and good) questions for #StopCeta, now Dail vote been kicked back to a committee. (Woop woop, yes give yourselves that) It's very clear that a none to small section *within* the Greens are winning so far.
2/ While until now, understandably, much focus has been on the Green party in gov as a whole, wider anti Ceta movement needs to go beyond. And definitely avoid the printed soap opera from pol corrs.
3/ Much of media focus will lazer in on potential Green split around #StopCETA. And FG/FF and most political correspondents will want to keep that focus. CETA as political drama. Dont get distracted by that.

The trade related chapters of CETA were ratified by the European Parliament in 2017.

The ratification of CETA (i.e. the investment chapters of the agreement) could enable corporations to try to sue governments under a special "Investor Court System" (ICS) - a mechanism that would bypass our own domestic and EU Courts.

En je hoefde al niet gestudeerd te hebben om te kunnen bedenken waarom Canada niet genegen is om hun boeren strengere gifregels op te leggen omdat CU dat wil. Ik bedoel, wat gaat EU zeggen dan: ‘anders hoeven we je producten niet’?
