3. The Journal notes that they reported back in 2021 that these three WIV researchers had fallen sick. Those names remained classified until now: Ben Hu, Yu Ping, and Yan Zhu.

The danish broadcasting company, DR, (our BBC) really wanted to engage younger audiences. DR had noticed that young folks watch a lot of videos on YouTube (😂!) and they wanted to get in on that. 2/

Let's first acknowledge (or agree with Thorp) that Scicom is a serious expertise on its own. But it's more complex than just that. On the one hand, I'm baffled by how much low-hanging fruit there is for scientists to become just a little better at #scicom. On the other.. (2/n)
I'm equally baffled by the expectations that live in organizations about scicom. As if it's just something scientists can all easily do on the side - level of talent not even considered. So we have a weird nuance here. (3/n)

Mais le métier d'#illustrateur·rice #scientifique réclame bien d'autres compétences que ce qu'on appelle trivialement "savoir #dessiner".

Pour dessiner, j'utilise mon #critérium fétiche, dont la pointe fait 0,03 mm. ✏️ La mine est très, très (très) fragile mais elle permet un trait extrêmement précis... Et discret, ce qui est un plus, car un trait de contour trop visible peut nuire au réalisme d'un sujet !
Évidemment, comme je travaille chez moi, je bénéficie parfois d'un soutien moral bienvenu mais un peu... Encombrant. Regardez-moi ce face à face entre deux fauves. 😸

Grad school traditionally includes the bottom arrow, but what if it also included time to reflect on what you like AND what you are good at, learn about other career options, think strategically about how you spend your time, and learn high quality #scicomm skills?
This course runs PARALLEL to your grad school journey, and has 3 parts. During reflection, you figure out what is important to you, identify the skills you have that are applicable outside of academia and rough sketch a 5-year plan.
