1/ #Disclaimer: Program Management is a BROAD domain. The definition varies from a company to company, function to function. This thread might help address it from a tech/product company’s pov.
2/ #ContextSetting: Some examples of programs I worked on include - CS edu program for students, diversity programs for women in tech, accelerators for gaming and AI startups, AI/ML skilling programs. Also, each of them aligns with tech product/s at some point in time.

2/9 Power and ambiguity. For some...power is maintained through opacity and ambiguity. Making work visible and/or making ambiguity visible is a direct threat to that way of trying to control a situation.
3/9 With visibility, there is the constant threat of micro-management. Flying under the radar is sometimes the only way to "get stuff done without people meddling. If everyone saw our roadmap, they'd keep poking holes in it!"
The #UX #Teapot Philosophy of Cohesive Vision Design Driven Organisation. The generic approach of Technology Companies to solve a problem in typical engineering way is to throw a lot of people for a challenge, pour in lot of money and then choose the most efficient solution.
However this doesn't work with UX. A famous Proverb as it says "World's 7 great artists sitting around a table drawing a tea pot all from their perspective of vision". That would be 7 different pictures all equally appealing and flawless. When you distribute designers
based on module with no centralize Design CoE to channelize and cultivate a cohesive vision design philosophy, all you receive is so many different perspective in the same product. It complicate the seamless integration of one module with another at all levels.
