#WhatsApp is taking the Indian government to court over the traceability clause in the new IT Rules 2021.The new IT rules include a traceability clause that requires #socialmedia platforms to locate “the first originator of the information” if required by authorities.

Amid the backlash faced over its new policy, #WhatsApp has postponed the latest #PrivacyPolicy change.
“We’ve heard from so many people how much confusion there is around our recent update. This update does not expand our ability to share data with Facebook,” said #WhatsApp 's blogpost.
In a tweet, WhatsApp has further clarified that no accounts would be suspended or deleted on February 8, and it would be extending the business plans until after May 15.
Private #WhatsApp group links were exposed on #Google search results allowing anyone who finds the link to join the groups & access details of members. The issue was fixed back in 2019 but now has surfaced again.

The report by @rajaharia suggests that #WhatsApp groups that use links to allow users to enter, may once again be vulnerable to being found online, allowing anyone to join the group. The issue appears to have been resolved as of now.

In #PrivacyPolicy of @SetuAarogya as per cl. 2(a) & 2(c usage of data restricted for Government of India. However, cl 2(b) & 2(d), having no mention of GOI. Due to this lapse, if #data goes to foreign #TechGiants, it may create big risk to #nationalsecurity #RighttoLife 2/10
As per clause 3(b) of the Privacy Policy, data will be retained on #mobile device. Hence, data can also be accessed by Mobile cos. As per cl. 1(b), the @SetuAarogya will use #Bluetooth and #location data. So, such data can also be accessed by #Telecom companies. 3/10 @TRAI
