End of July look into South American #wildfires & #openburning with #CopernicusAtmosphere Monitoring Service GFAS data confluence.ecmwf.int/display/CKB/CA… shows increasing seasonal fires in Brazil since 15th & episodes of high fire activity in Argentina > 2003-2019 average.
Paraguay & Bolivia show similar pattern to Argentina with some episodes of high daily total fire intensity above the average calculated for 2003-2019.
In Brazil, daily total fire intensity for Mato Grosso do Sul (+Mato Grosso & Amazonas) has been >> 2003-2019 average for much of the last 2 weeks
A lot of #openburning & surface PM2.5 across Eastern Europe in #Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service products visualized by @windyforecast windy.com/-PM2-5-pm2p5?c…. GFAS daily total FRP for Belarus & Ukraine have been well above 2003-2019 average for many days recently.
