Does it really matter if gender inclusive language is used?
Women are often told "don't be silly" "get a grip" the word mother isn't being erased. But if you look more closely it is & we believe that is a problem.

Our experience of that will be different because not all mothers are the same.

@marksandspencer is part of my Terf origin story. I was browsing the website looking for some new knickers. Started reading reviews; they were like soft core porn, obvs written by men. And 'upvoted' by other men. I wrote to M&S, found someone on their web team. 2/

I donât think we can claim to fight for womenâs sex based right if we stand aside when something so basic is eroded, when the step backwards is so huge.
I'm 45 yo lesbian. I left my country because of homophobia (it's not just mocking, harrasment, lesbians were/are raped in the name of "re-education"). I was told by men that I haven't met the right man yet. Now men who identify as lesbians tell me I haven't tried their girldick.
2)That gay man doesn't feel threatened by straight women who identify as gays & because he doesn't feel threatened he has no problem to let men in the lesbian spaces, organizations, events, groups, apps etc. He supports our erasure. The only letter in LGB he cares about is G.

I donât often do threads, but I had a thought today. So here goes. The reason why we have single sex rape crisis centres for women is that we need spaces away from the men who have harmed us. We need to escape rapists, oppressors, violent men.
Some transwomen claim that âcisâ women oppress them. How? One way they claim they are oppressed is by âcisâ women demanding single sex spaces. Spaces that transwomen cannot be in. Do you see a problem yet? Let me explain one.
Raped women do not demand access to menâs spaces, to golf clubs, old boys networks, or hereditary peerages. They do not want to go anywhere near the menâs bar. They want spaces well away from men, to recover, to regroup, to heal.
