बूंदी में हमने एक ऐसे परिवार के घर भोज किया जो किसी ज़माने में रजवाड़ों की तलवारों की मूठ (handle/grip) बनाने का काम करते थे। बात तलवारों की होती है तो महाराणा प्रताप की फौज में रहकर तलवार जैसे हथियार बनाने वाले (गाड़िया) लोहार ज़रूर याद आते हैं।

महाराणा कभी चित्तौड़गढ़ वापिस हासिल नहीं कर सके पर उनके काफिले के साथ चलते इन गाड़िया लोहारों ने भी प्रतिज्ञा ली कि महाराणा के बिना वापिस चित्तौड़गढ़ नहीं लौटेंगे।तब से आज तक बैलगाड़ियों पर घुमंतू की तरह एक से दूसरे राज्य भटकने वाले ये गाड़िया लोहार अपनी प्रतिज्ञा पर डटे हुए हैं।
अंग्रेज़ों की धूर्तता के चलते ऐसे कई कबीले 'क्रिमिनल ट्राइब' या जन्मजात अपराधी बना दिए गए,नागरिक सुविधाओं से वंचित रखे गए।आज़ादी के बाद आज के ही दिन इन्हें अपराधी के लेबल से 'विमुक्त' तो किया पर कई कमीशनों,कमिटियों के गठन के बावजूद इन्हें केंद्र में कोई आरक्षण या लाभ नहीं मिला।

Sometimes a yurt (aka a "#ger") is the only house on a land plot; sometimes it's more like a second room, to accompany a more stationary house. But these landscapes; these districts look so alien! How do people live there? How come they don't have windows? 2/7
I mean, it's one thing when yurts are used by actual #nomads (as they were used traditionally), or when people put them up in the summer to escape from a city, or to hide from the virus. But whole suburbs of gers on the outskirts of every town is something different! 3/7
