Here’s some video taken today of the old shipwreck that was discovered over the weekend along #Nantucket’s south shore:

According to @EganMaritime, "treacherous shoals and inclement weather led to over 750 shipwrecks in the island's waters. As a result, the area was often called 'a graveyard of the Atlantic'."
An investigation into the fire that consumed five rental vehicles that had been used by Secret Service agents during President Biden’s visit to the island has determined the blaze was not suspicious, according to #Nantucket Fire Chief Michael Cranson.
While the official cause is undetermined, officials have focused on a white Ford Expedition as the initial source of the fire. That vehicle was under a safety recall by the manufacturer due to a faulty battery junction box that has caused car fires elsewhere.
While it had been scheduled for service under the recall, sources said, the Expedition had not yet been repaired.

A large car fire involving multiple rental vehicles at Nantucket Memorial Airport is now out. There were no injuries reported but at least four cars sustained significant damage. #nantucket
The fire was just 40 feet away from the airport’s 25,000-gallon jet fuel tanks

With Tropical Storm Henri's projected path taking it close to #Nantucket by early Sunday morning, Nantucket Harbormaster Sheila Lucey is planning to vacate and close the town pier by Saturday, asking all boats anchored in the harbor to be pulled from the water or moved elsewhere.
