#Domains are #namespaces that are used for coupling #IP-addresses to human-readable names for ease of use.
They are also organized in a hierarchical structure for governance purposes.

La façon de poser les choses en "Twitter ou (exclusif) Mastodon" me surprend, faux dilemme que je trouve aussi lunaire que "pâtes ou riz". On _peut_ avoir les deux :). Pas d'équivalence pure, aucun ne va remplacer l'autre, pas forcément utile de transformer ça en croisade/camps.
Peut-être pas la peine de cogner sur le libre et/ou les libristes si Mastodon ne vous plaît pas, ni de demander à Mastodon d'être ce qu'il n'est pas. De même avec Twitter.
Utilisez tranquillement ce que vous voulez, l'un ou l'autre ou les deux, ça ne coûte pas plus cher (pour l'instant du moins). En termes de réseaux sociaux tout particulièrement la communauté compte plus que le service.

Best practice is to subnet on nibble boundaries (one hex digit). It's way easier to differentiate the location and purpose of a subnet this way. It's difficult to remember that :[0-7]A: is for one purpose and :[8-9A-F]A: is for something else.
Minimum prefix size that can be advertised on the internet is /48. Your organization might not have internet breakout in your design today, but that could change. I recommend that you assign a minimum of a /48 per location.

Oh, schaut mal. Der ÖBV hat ein Schulbuch zur "digitalen Grundbildung" und der PC darin hat noch PS/2 Ports für Maus und Tastatur sowie seriell und Parallel Port. <3

So I've to help a #RemoeWorking colleage to not only get their #ISP to migrate them to #DualStack instead of that #DSlite/#CGNAT bs, but also migrate a company #VPN to Dual-Stack...
Because @deutschetelekom, @vodafone_de, @o2de and all the #MVNO|s in #Germany don't Providence Prosper #DualStack on mobile, and at best do #NAT64 or #CGNAT on #RFC1918 address spaces but sometimes even do #IPv6-only or even #NAT66!

@Digitaler_Staat 2007 beschloss die BuReg d Umstieg auf IPv6. 2011 erklärte sie, die Verwaltung sei vorbereitet, aber 2020 kann sie nicht sagen, was Stand d Umstellung ist o. Zeitpläne vorlegen. Die Antworten der Bundesregierung auf meine Kleine Anfrage sind ein Offenbarungseid. #ipv6 #digistaat
