1. When you get your schedule, you'll hear that you’re starting on the worst block/service/etc.
Ignore that. Like med school, intern experiences depend on unpredictable factors like who you work with, availability of resources, proximity to free food, etc. It's super variable.

2. People will tell you to separate work and home.
Instead, do whatever you want. If you pre-chart better at home or want to note-prep before going in, if it helps you know what's ahead, do it. Check on your patients on your day off if you want. It's okay to worry about them.

How it started...

Over the next few months, as I dealt with the grief of losing my husband, I struggled to overcome my injuries - internal bleeding; open fracture of the femur, tibia, and fibula; and open fracture of the 5th digit of my (dominant) left hand at the MCP and DIP joints. I worked to
independently accomplish my activities of daily living when sitting on the side of the bed, transferring myself to the bedside commode, or feeding myself were feats in itself.

What is the diagnosis?
In patients with cirrhosis, always try to find the cause in those who present early. There is no idiopathic, no cryptogenic. Its all 'missed' cirrhosis.

Him: “How has your week been so far?”
Her: “It’s been pretty good but sorta overwhelming”

Read-out would be in minutes - timer in App - read by camera in your smart phone. No other machines. Links to telemedicine groups for positive results. Built in positive control - e.g. no color = improper test, green NEGATIVE, red POSITIVE.
