Picture in picture has been one of my most requested features for iPhone and I can't wait for more apps to support this.
Big news today for iPhone and iPad users who are tired of the constant tracking, ad targeting, and manipulation on the Internet: #iOS14 (rolling out today) now allows you to set DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser as your default browser and search app.

This is a huge moment for privacy on iOS because it means for the first time users can make privacy the default while surfing the web, both through having our app open automatically when you click on links, and also directly from your home screen through new #iOS14 widgets.

Keeping up to date...
Here we go again, this time - 14.0 release
In #iOS14, Apple has redesigned tracking control. Previously, this was a Limit Ad Tracking switch buried at the bottom of this list under Advertising. Now it’s renamed Tracking, moved to the top, and rewords the switch into less slithery language. Disclosures are interesting.
It’s groundbreaking how Apple has finally bridged the gap in clear language between privacy controls and anti-fraud. They acknowledge how private information is used to fight fraud. In other contexts, these subtle distinctions are impenetrable for ordinary users to comprehend.
Moving adtech to private on-device ad targeting away from the GDPR violative data breach by design status quo should have the fringe benefit of foiling fraudsters and so, in turn, reducing the need for such aggressive anti-fraud mechanisms in the first place. Win win win.

This is what tipped me off:
The new Stickers & Memoji icons in #iOS14 feature a gold Memoji wearing purple glasses.
I noticed it because it was such a high contrast icon — almost as if they want you notice the glasses.
Why would they even include glasses at all?

I was curious, so I took a look at the original Stickers icon.
To my surprise, the glasses wearing Memoji was there! Just chillin’ in the background, but as a purple Memoji with gold glasses instead.
Why did they end up picking the one with the glasses for the new icon?
