Truth vs the lie.

U just lost 6million quid in a month and were cutting liabilities including IPD. Yet you lied and told us you had never been so financially strong & cut IPD to help expand globally! You're finances were a bloody mess that's why you did it! #footballindex ImageImage
30% increase was received poorly because your imbecile CEO told us all to expect rockets then gave us goalkeepers, adding no value to our bets! Someone show the solicitors the video of the dubbed guys wetting themselves! #footballindex ImageImage
Truth vs the lie we were fed again. We were made to believe this was a change of roles. Exciting changes blah blah. Not that he stepped/was pushed aside because they were hemorrhaging money! #footballindex ImageImage

Many of the media seem to be dressing up the #FOOTBALLINDEX scandal as an obvious Ponzi Scheme which I think is a disservice to the punters who played. @KieranMaguire @josephmdurso @mattzarb @RicHolden
The argument is that the commission revenue did not outweigh the dividend payouts therefore they company had to rely on a constant stream new customers to pay out dividends to the old customers
This however isn't true. Dividends are paid out of the initial stakes made to "buy shares in a player"
The Football Index model, according to their own affiliate terms, is that they expect to pay out a 20% yield per annum

Not even reached 24hrs yet and we have nearly 1/4 of a million people having read this! They cannot hide from this. Keep sharing using the #footballindex hashtag to get this trending. Many media outlets already reporting on it or investigating. The more attention we draw 1/2
The more likely it is that we reach people with the power to help us! Cannot thank people enough for the way we have pulled together to fight this. 2/2 #footballindex
I hope everyone is doing ok this morning, my DM's are always open 💪 on a lighter note the irony behind an account with a terminator display pic refusing to give up the fight after several knockdowns, is not lost on me here 🦾

137,000 views, media interest and we get a statement with some truth & some interesting points... My initial reaction, please share urs:

1) they now admit MONTHS of substantial losses. But in November it was the best financial position they've ever been in. #footballindex
2) Now that we know the mess behind the scenes financially, why were they telling us how excited they are for 2021? Misleading us again

3) they knew this was coming... So why was @MikeB_FI on camera specifically saying he wants to discuss nasdaq, liquidity and media monitors 😡
For the record, I don't condone any threats against employees or representatives of the company. We must protest sensibly in a way that encourages the wider audience to take us seriously.

However, the video & the last 2weeks is despicable now we know what they knew was coming!

Feel sick today. I see people saying they feel stupid, naive etc. We were lied to & manipulated constantly. Encouraging us to be +ve & keep investing as big things were coming. The whole time knowing they were in the shit! Long thread of lies&deceit. Time to unite #footballindex
June 2020 - We WILL be switching to NASDAQ, going from a "quirky bookmaker" to a much larger scale... WE WERE LIED TO. We were mislead. We deposited big money off the back of this, believing huge things were coming. IT NEVER CAME
Part 2 of the update. Again confirming NASDAQ coming and that media will be IN PLACE by the start of the 2020/21 season

Observations on #FootballIndex order books so far, a thread:

1) It’s clear right now that prices *seem* volatile (in comparison to a pre sell order world) This is only due to the lack of ‘weight’ behind offers, if you compare it to the entirety of the FI market.
2. Someone can come in and undercut a £10 player with a 5% spread, to £9.70 with 300 futures as an offer. This then shows as a player ‘decreasing’ by 30p, when in reality - all it’s showing you is the lowest offer.
3. Would I like there to be 1000 or more shares behind each ‘offer’, probably. Would I like depth of market to be seen, absolutely.

Both of these would likely stop traders being scared about the price they see on screen, whichever way you look at it.

Recently, someone messaged me out of the blue asking if I could give them 3 reasons to be bullish on #FootballIndex.

The recent news about Lionel Messi really backs up just why I think this product is unique, amazing and is the premier challenger to traditional boomakers 👇
The beauty is in the nuance of information.

Let's focus on Lionel Messi first.

The murmurs and whispers encourage a few riskier punts, and as that information solidifies and comes from more reliable sources - more buys are seen from the risk adverse, and the spread tightens.
Now that traders have essentially confirmed, in their minds he is leaving - the question then becomes:

"Well where to?"

PSG? City? America? Back home to Argentina?

All with hugely different connotations for his price.

What other platform allows you to bet in this manner?

🚨 TRANSFER ALERT 🚨

Mohammed Kudus, a 19-year-old Ghana international, joins Ajax from Nordsjaelland. He already has attacking output that's very good at an Eredivisie standard, with exceptional ball retention coming in part from outstanding skill in ground duels: 🔥🙇‍♂️

1/4 Image
Kudus has been involved in most of Nordsjaelland's productive attacks while playing as a striker, but his finishing could stand to improve:

2/4 Image
In style, Kudus bears some resemblance to Carlos Correa, and also some players whose positions are closer to second striker, like Diogo Jota. You can see on his smartermap at CF that he has a huge range of movement and actions, but doesn't get too many touches in the box:

Let's take a detailed, comprehensive look at under-24 strikers from the top 5 leagues. This study considers both conventional centre forwards as well as players who switch between the wings and the central "9" role.

Data thanks to the brilliant @fbref as always! (THREAD) Image
Output is fundamental for any young striker and the sustainability of a striker's output can be measured in xG and xA. The graph shows us that Haaland and Gabriel Jesus have superb movement while Werner is a considerable all-round threat. #BVB #MCFC #RBL Image
Does your favourite young striker like getting on the ball, and if so, where does he get the ball? Werner loves being involved in general play while strikers like Tammy and Lautaro prefer taking few touches, with most of them being in the box. #RBL #CFC #Inter Image
