Die vraag over evidence informed lesgeven die @amberwalraven toelichtte bij #rEDNL21 kwam meen ik van mij. @P_A_Kirschner was geschokt over de uitkomst . En dan te bedenken dat de mensen de @TeacherTappNL invullen veel bezig zijn met onderwijs. 1/n
Dit zit vandaag al de hele dag in mijn gedachten. Weinig mensen zijn bezig met onderwijs geven zoals het bewezen werkt. “We maken lessen vaak omdat het “leuk” is,maar of de kennis er groter van wordt en of het effectief is, valt te bezien. Het #evidenceinformed onderwijs ... 2/n
...moet toch echt het nieuwe normaal worden? Hoe kun je nu als docent zo maar “iets leuks” doen zonder dat je zeker weet dat de kennis en vaardigheden beter worden? Hoe kun je het oke vinden als een kind een 6 haalt ipv een 8? 3/n

Me: Which opioid were you struggling w/b4 here?
Pt: Fentanyl
Me: What's your Suboxone dosing?
Pt: 2mg (3x/day)
Me: How long you been struggling w/Fentanyl?
Pt: I'm not feeling great.

Me: 2mg - 3x/day is kinda barely giving your 🧠 a rest. So - you're feeling 🤢 I believe you'll feel better on 12-16mg/day. Let's do 4mg - 3x/day. You got 2mg already, let's do a 1x - 2mg now (give me a few mins to order), oh & you should take a Clonidine now.

The report summarizing the @CanadianForces' observations of #longtermcare in Ontario has generated an outcry for a #PublicInquiryNow. While we fully agree that change is needed to optimize #seniorscare, a lot is already known about what needs to be changed and how to do it. 1/8
We should work together to cumulate lessons learned and apply effective interventions to promote #evidenceinformed #personcentred #seniorscare rather than start from scratch. In that vein, we are sharing our research findings and tested programs. #LTC @ONhealth @ONgov 2/8
