A short description of the process. You can find a few pictures here, but I had some trial and error process and even with the final ones, no warranty it will hold long, as @nickelpin also explained very well !
So, take the mask appart, clean the parts well (I used dishsoap and then isopropanol after drying).
For the flexible parts (edges of the filters and facepiece) just paint the whole carefully with black Angelus paint. I used two fine layers.

Tip #1: Masks buy time. Context matters too: Ventilation (HVAC/outdoor air), filtration (HEPA), & ⬇️ people buy more time.
The longer you’ll be someplace or the worse the context, the better the mask you’ll need.

Tip #2: If you’re going to be someplace a long time (home, office, hospital, wedding), open windows, add #HEPA, turn HVAC from ‘auto’ to ‘on' & do testing.

"If..worn all day,..rule of thumb is to replace the filter daily. Fresh filters maintain good breathability & when not in use,..store the mask in the microfiber pouch as the filter is electrostatically charged & will continue to attract particulates in the air if left sitting out

Let's talk about elastomeric respirators and high filtration masks as we head into Delta without a plan outside of personal responsibility and (essential but individual) vaccination.

Elastomerics look like the old fashioned gas masks you'd see in movies. They can cover your whole face or half.
You do not throw them away - so they're good for you and the environment.
The filters you will attach to them can be 95 or 100, which is extremely high filtration!
