I ride #SlayerPete to my office in DC, for errands, and, yes, for exercise. While #Arlington #Virginia has a great network of paths and trails, it still lacks the kind of secure bike storage/parking recently opened at the East Falls Church Metro @wmata.
In fact, safe/secure bike parking/storage is the biggest impediment to me using my #ebike even more.

Transportation is our biggest source of pollution, so that's where the biggest investment goes: $255 million. Supports electric school buses, bikes, cleaner trucks, expanded transit service, and free bus/train fares during ozone season. (2/n)

2) We need to give people safe, convenient transportation choices. Example, loads of people want to cycle places, but they're #2scared2bike.
3) Transportation is the #1 cause of injury death for kids and #2 for adults. But it doesn't have to be this way. Mortality rate in Netherlands is 1/4 of ours. That's because of good engineering (#VisionZero, transit, etc).
