Being an 'anti-racist' therapist is not being 'colour-blind' or saying 'I don't see colour'. It is when you're acknowledging your client's lived experiences & trauma of being minimized, discounted & humiliated because of their ethnicity.

This also applies to many other identity factors - age, gender, faith, disability etc. If a therapist is unable to 'see' that a client's lived experience is because of their intersectionality & identity then you're not being truly empathic to their experience or feelings.
To understand a client's 'frame of reference' or 'internal world' therapists need to recognise the political, social and cultural structures we live in. This includes the therapy 'world' as well! #inequality
