To set the scene … since the 1960s, Sheffield had been developed to encourage the private car. Politicians competed for the motorist’s vote.

Lots of good people, on all sides, lost @HouseofCommons seats in #GE2019 - often in v unjustified ways. But I feel special sadness at the loss of @pmasterton1985 @LukeGrahamOSP

Parliamentary colleagues will all miss Labour’s @RuthSmeeth @CarolineFlintMP LD @joswinson + @lucianaberger who = eloquent, fearless + friendly ... but, I suspect, few will miss the likes of @DerbyChrisW + @LauraPidcockMP ... the @HouseofCommons is collaborative most of the time
As the dust settles I leave you with 1 last #GE2019 thought: understand that all GE #candidates,+ #councillors too, have the courage and commitment to put their head above the parapet + make their case.
