Zunächst mal muss man sagen, dass natürlich jede:r Kinderärztin/Kinderarzt seine eigene Meinung haben darf. Aber es darf nie eine Patientengefährdung stattfinden, was in der oben beschriebenen Praxis ganz eindeutig der Fall ist.
Bei klar patientengefährdendem Verhalten ist eine Meldung des Arztes oder der Ärztin bei der zuständige Landesärztekammer zu erwägen. Das sollte man natürlich nur tun, wenn man auch eine Option auf eine:n andere:n Ärztin/Arzt hat, weil danach das Verhältnis belastet sein wird.

First, this is NOT a critique of the study (currently a pre-print).
Researchers at @MethodistHosp who did this provided a VERY valuable piece of info and are not making any inappropriate claims. Great work!
It's just that it's easy for public/media to misinterpret results!

Paper reports on a total of 1313 #OmicronVariant cases in the Houston, TX area.
See table below:
~49% of cases in those not vaccinated (0 or 1 does)
~51% are #BREAKTHROUGHS.
Of those #Breakthrough cases,
535 cases w/ 2 #vaccine doses
140 cases w/ 3 doses (i.e., booster)

Short thread on this table which is shared widely and leads to the (false) conclusion that a heterologous boost with 2xPfizer/1xModerna is superior to a homologous boost with 3xPfizer.
1. The moderna booster given in this study was a 100ug dose whereas the approved moderna booster is only a 50ug dose, which would lead to somewhat lower antibody levels. Therefore the difference would be even smaller.
2. Even if the difference between heterologous and homologous booster would hold for the 50ug Moderna dose, the difference is not relevant. Here is why: I assume (and I apologize if this assumption is wrong) that many people look at that table and think if 2xPfizer/1xmoderna
