Excited to share an infographic showcasing milk cooperative societies from different states of India! 
🤔 Wondering what a milk cooperative is? Milk cooperatives are organizations owned and operated by farmers, who work together to process, market, and distribute their dairy products. They play a pivotal role in empowering farmers and ensuring fair prices for their produce. 🐄
Not many know but Amul is Gujarat's milk cooperative that probably is the most recognisable brand nationally. Followed by Mother Dairy from Delhi.

Governments have tried failed . Agro industries corps in all states gone bankrupt writing down public investment .cooperatives but for #amul there is no other success . Today biggest problem is storage losses ,and low value for agriculture commodities due to lack of processing .
Intellectuals who oppose it suggest where investment will come.We need investment here for agriculture to turn profit . Yes we need proper frame work to control corporates but foolish to throw the baby with bath water . #FarmersProtestDelhi #agriculturalreforms #contractfarming

1) Amul was instrumental in putting India's Dairy industry on the world map and ensuring livelihoods for over 100 MILLION FARMERS.
2) Of these millions 70% ARE WOMEN and 69% belong to SOCIAL-ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED SECTIONS of the communities.

3) Of India’s 100-million-plus dairy farmers, more than 70 million hold 2-3 milch animals per head. The cooperative movement brought the farmers together and allowed them to organize themselves at scale.
4) Amul’s shareholders are 3.6 million dairy farmers and hence the benefits directly accrue to them. In addition, creating rural institutions & connecting them directly to viable consumer markets, while eliminating intermediaries has benefitted both consumers & producers equally.
