-Ugbodu was founded as UGBODUMILA.
-Ukwu Nzu was founded as Eko-Efun due to the presence of abundant kaolin or native chalk there.

They are said to the the oldest people in Delta North and their Igbo speaking Neighbours call them ODIANI which in Igbo language means the "ANCIENT PEOPLE" and you know what it means for your neighbours to call you ancient people.
Geographical they share common boundary with Esan (Ishan) people to their North, to the south they share common boundary with the Ezechime clans and to their east is the River Niger.

The second is valour. Akin or Akínkanjú. That is why Balóguns are second-in-command to the leaders in Yorùbá land. Balóguns are people that can lead them to war. Yorùbá have no respect for cowards.
The third is integrity. (Ìwà omolúàbí ). Someone with integrity is a man of his words. If you have all the wealth in the world but lack integrity, it means nothing. Integrity is combined with iwa – character, which we regard as omolúàbí.
Orompoto was, according to oral traditions, the first and only female Alaafin of Oyo. She was the sister of her predecessor, Eguguojo. She assumed the throne in 1554 because there was no male successor from her elder brother at the time.

Immediately after the Ijaiye war a strong Ẹgba force proceeded to Makun, one of the Rẹmọ towns, at the request of King Awujalẹ of Ijẹbu Ode, who charged the Makun people with rebellion.

He is the divine messenger who delivers sacrifices prescribed by the Babalawo to Ọlọrun after they have been placed at his shrine, a simple chunk of laterite set outside of every Ifẹ compound or a crude mud figure as in Mẹko.
He is a trickster who delights in trouble making but he serves Ọlọrun and the other deities by causing trouble for human beings who offend or neglect them.

Ogunde was born in Ososa, near Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria, to the family of Jeremiah Deinbo and Eunice Owotusan Ogunde. His father was a Baptist pastor and his maternal grandfather was a priest of Ifa, an African traditional religion.

The announcement in Nigerian newspapers on 21 March 1951 of the birth of the Action Group took the country by storm. Those who later became covert and overt adversaries of the party heralded its debut in glowing terms.
The Daily Times, in an editorial comment headed ‘Awakening In The West’, hailed it as ‘first in the field with a definite plan for winning seats under the new Constitution.’ The paper described the objective of the Action Group as ‘admirable and deserving of support’.

On account of that, he sent some members of his Meranda Band ahead to Ijebu Ode in the hope of joining them later in the day. He led the remaining members of the band to play at a wedding party at Isalegangan Street, Lagos.
He disappeared when the band was on recess and was later declared missing. After a fruitless search, the police decided to check on a body found in the Lagos lagoon shore near Bonny Camp on October 5, 1972. It was Ayinde Bakare’s.
